After hearing the teaser their label dropped, I'm not too stoked on this record. I agree with a lot of the people saying it sounds less heavy than FDTD. And a lot of the songs sound the same too me. I hope they pull through with some cool songs on the record.
+tommy bradley Thats what i thought, until I heard the full songs and the insane breakdowns in EVERY single one that it doesn't show on the preview. The worst part of every song is shown in the preview… trust me
I know that Danny is the original vocalist and him being back in the band is good and all but Asking hasn't sounded the same to me since "The Black". Their self-titled was decent but it was more like quality radio rock, and the reason Asking is in my top ten bands is because they have their own unique rock/metal sound that I don't find on the radio. They might want to give Denis another try, because there's nothing wrong with Danny, but I think we can all admit everything after self-titled has just not been that good. However, this band strikes me as one of the weirdest bands around, mainly because the original vocalist is now into country, and half the fanbase dislikes Denis because he brought a new sound even though that sound is the best sound they've had in recent years. We aren't getting the old Danny back, and while I love Reckless & Relentless, "The Black" just felt _right_ when I first listened to it back in 2017. In conclusion, I think the band should stick with the genre that they want to be, and whether Danny is holding them back from doing that is their decision. If they genuinely enjoy what they're doing right now, then so be it, but nothing from the new album stands out for me so far. edit: i forgot, Denis is a nice vocalist but after listening to Christian Grey I can confirm Christian is better, Denis may have been the first one to have that vocal sound but Christian perfected it and he's in his own band
the songs felt so natural because they were so basic, it still kind-of sounds like Death to Destiny, it is a step up tho, can't wait to hear what they put out over the next few years
I feel like they set themselves back from death to destiny was amazing it had a sound nobody else has. Now they sound like every other metal core band it's a shame because they would have gotten far with that sound Denis is good but Danny just had something about him that made this band the others do as well. from death to destiny will forever be one of there best albums it's a shame the others did not wanna stick with that sound.
You've gotta be kidding me, FDTD wasn't even heavy compared to "Let it sleep" or "The Black", but we can't say till the release but I can almost guarantee you it will be heavier and great.
Jake A.A Hill I think FDTD sounded heavier than the previews I've heard from the new album. I don't know why people see Let It Sleep as such a heavy song... The lyrics aren't even that dark and the only thing that's remotely heavy is the breakdown
They're better off without Worsnop. He was so negative and cruel to their fans when metalcore got him off to his music start and away from joining the military or whatever. Shame he gave it all up due to drugs and drink, but Denis helped save them when Worsnop gave up.
luvgame26 Bullshit. Even Ben said that. They weren't happy and the music wasn't nearly as good. The Black is much better and a nod to early AA which the fans and AA wanted to come back.
I've been a fan of AA since 2008 I liked the changed and not all the original fans wanted the changed I like Denis I think he is good I don't mind him but I perfered the new style
Come on Ben, you mention Danny in every interview since last year. Give it a rest, we get it know. The Black is fun to listen to but lacks the substance from FDTD.
"You're new, should you be saying this to me? Shh-shh. Shh-shh."
why did this make me smile so much ahahah
The black was probably my favorite album by them ! I really wish Denis was still in the band
I'm so proud of them. they've come so far❤️❤️
Ben always makes my day. No matter what happens, i can watch him and smile.
James is actually wearing a shirt. Nice job lad.
+Kaya May Imposter XD
I thought the same 😂
Ben and James seem on top of the world I am sure the rest do as well but you can just see there emotions
so stoked !
son tan hermosos!! los amo!!!
Ben i can see that you are a really cool guy and you are
This album was the last of the elite for them
Progression of James' lobes video needed.
Meus Deus esse cabelo Ben Bruce kkkkkkkkkkkkkk Volta a ter o estilo de antes ...

I am happy they are now singing songs they acctually enjoy
the songs felt so natural because they were so basic, it still kind-of sounds like Death to Destiny, it is a step up tho, can't wait to hear what they put out over the next few years
damn I'm only used to seeing james without a shirt and wasteddddd drunk in clips. This is new

Get yo bitch ass on somewhere
Shut the fuck up yo annoying ass replied to every freaking comment here
Song at the start?
It should've said "James Cassells DROOMS, Asking Alexandria".
They like heavier music but this album seems to be less heavy than the last one...
Exactly
right lol
You've gotta be kidding me, FDTD wasn't even heavy compared to "Let it sleep" or "The Black", but we can't say till the release but I can almost guarantee you it will be heavier and great.

+Jake A.A Hill The new stuff isn't heavy AT ALL. FDTD was their most mature/heavy release. Now it's all just whiny and uninteresting, lyrically
you fucking legends! haha
whats with the buckcherry product placement
puta que me cuesta entender el acento de James
album wasn't bad. think the next one will be better.

I'm aware, but I also know he had a drinking and drug problem. Back in 2011, in Seattle, he was acting erratic and unpredictable to the crowd
No they are not better of with Danny they were going to go far with Danny

Ben plough me lol
Lol, "like a good old fashioned porno."
Thats how you know danny fucked up and how torn the relationship is, is when ben refers to him as "Our Previous Vocalist". :/
Yep. But they could call him worse things
I kinda wish they would stop talking about danny.
Come on Ben, you mention Danny in every interview since last year. Give it a rest, we get it know.
The Black is fun to listen to but lacks the substance from FDTD.
Exactly what I thought, sigh. Danny doesn't even mention about them. Wonder how he feels.
Danny keeps on making music, he is a really talented vocalist now and I can't wait for his solo record.
+NetworkCore me too!!!!
when ben says the meaning of the title in the part he says " relationships" he looks really broken ... :(
Generic metalcore album, sounds like every band back then in 2011
+andy lastbreath k
I like AA but MetallicA made the real Black album
wow ben has gained a lot of weight these past months
+RNGeezieGirl has been a stressed pup :(
+Winston James III yeah, i know 😔😔
he still look as good as before tho
