Well when your the last ship out of an entire fleet in enemy controlled waters and are scraping by with little fire power and resources. They knew they had to do something. If it were me I'd rather die trying than wait to die out there knowing I could have at least fought for it.
It would have been better if every single one of those Marines said OORAH all those Warriors would gladly lay their lives on the line just to protect the Valkyrie
