In my opinion, if a military observer needs an armed escort to go to a meeting in a village, it completely reduces the effectiveness of the whole character and ethos of an UNMO. In Lebanon and Syria, we were accepted by the local communities specifically because we were on our own without a military escort and thus were a big force multiplier. In my experience, this was not the case in CAR.
Not sure you should be divulging your operational activities, especially concerning intelligence. Also, you should not be taking videos of your computer screens. Anyway, just sharing my ideas.
