If you insert some metal fabric (1/4 inch) into the plaster while it's wet, It will give the plaster more support in the same way rebar makes concrete stronger. Just a though because I've broken several pieces over the years and that has helped me out a ton. Thank you for your time on TH-cam.
Is the clay in the bucket 'old' fired clay? Or just bits of 'new' clay left over from project? I only have a small amount left over when l make stuff, so do l just roll it up and put it back in the bag or does it have to go in a bucket with water?
This is all 'new' clay that hasn't been fired yet. You don't have to add it to a bucket of water. If you have a small amount of left over clay, I would just spray it with water and put it back in the bag to keep it soft. Be sure to wedge the clay before you reuse it to get rid of air bubbles in the scraps. Hope that helps :-)
