"i hope it's not a riddle" it was, in fact, a riddle "or a puzzle, i don't like either of those" it was also, in fact, a puzzle im so sorry this is hilarious
The answer was mercy. Basically its saying a king without mercy is a tyrant. I save after each one as I don't want to fight those spirits, feels like failure. Next time you play you might want to take Whyne, she also appreciates seeing the urn of sacred ashes, although Shale is funny.
It’s okay. I had to use a youtube video to mod this game. I only used it for the 4GB patch though. I didn’t want to change anything. I wanted to replay the same game I played a bunch of times over a decade ago. It’s because of you that I decided to do one more play through of the first three games in preparation for DA4 and I am enjoying every second of it. Hope to see you through the whole series including the new one coming out.
That makes me feel better ☺️ I didn't want to change much, especially when it comes to the game itself, just a few mods to help with gameplay (such as the extra dog slot for lil Bean) Luckily I have managed to download the 4GB patch too but starting from ep 15 And that's the plan, I'm loving DAO so much and I'm hoping to play all the games 🙃
I never had a problem with Zevran. He is always cool with me snd fun to talk to. It's all about understanding their personalities and that's how you know how to respond to them.
Modding is difficult, but that doesn't make you a child. Kudos to figuring it out! -"When you guys first told me about Dragon Age, I thought I'd be protecting a dragon and be its friend. Little did I know, I'm a dragon murderer." The franchise is titled Dragon Age because that's the name of the century. The seventh century was called Storm, the eighth is Divine, and the ninth is Dragon. If you continue DA, in another game you'll meet a character named Cassandra Pentghast, who comes from a country named Nevarra. In the past, many Nevarrans hunted dragons and were thought extinct. At the start of the ninth century, adult dragons began coming back in full numbers, thus why the age is called Dragon. For a videogame title though its a bit misleading lol -"Spellweaver... oh wait, restricted to Arcane Warrior. Wait, so then could I wield it if I wanted to become an Arcane Warrior?" Yes, it would be for you! You'll find the unlock for that mage specialization inside a ruin within the Brecilian Forest, which is during the Dalish treaty Duncan entrusted you with. Arcane Warrior is my favorite mage specialization out of every Dragon Age game!
'Dragon Age' and 'the Dragon Age' were both things decided pretty on the fly. There's no grand plan. "There were some ideas but nothing concrete, so it was decided that one of the coders would make a quick random name generator," (...) "They knocked something together and added a whole bunch of fantasy words to the list," (...) "It was fired up and produced some names and the one that got the final vote by the team at the time was of course 'Dragon Age.' David Gaider (lead writer) responded [with] something like, 'Hmm, we better add some dragons to the story then...'" "So suddenly we had dragons returning to the world, the Archdemon changed into a dragon, and - best of all - I created a calendar system with named 'ages' so that the current age could be, you guessed it, the Dragon Age," By the current point in the series there's something of a larger plan regarding dragons, but at first, it can really come down to 'dragons are in fantasy and are cool'.
Thank you 🙃 I did have to watch a TH-cam Video to install them but I did it aha And thank you for the tips, I'll definitely be looking out for Arcane Warrior ☺️
Work on spell combos to help out, like freezing a target then stone fist them. Or use glyph of repulsion and paralysis together to do a mass paralysis.
The 'spirit', or whatever it is that shows up to you during the Gauntlet changes depending on your origin. Some are far more emotional than others. I think a mage's (aka Jowan) is perhaps the least emotional lol. Since like you said you just saw him. With the origin I chose, I ended up crying at that part.
This is one of my favorite games of all time- like I’ve done a full play through for most if not all of the origin stories- and this series has been a joy to watch! It’s been so fun getting to experience this world over again the way it is the first time. Cannot wait to see the rest of your series!!i
Thank you so much! I've had so much fun playing it so far and can't wait to continue ☺️ I'm not surprised it's one of your favourites, the lore, the story, all of it is amazing 🤩
Ha! Once you get a hang of modding... it will consume you lol. I remember how unrecognizable my party was to the original characters. Leliana had a pixie cut pink hair in her redesigned elaborate Chantry Robes. My Wynne was a fashionable queen with her modded enchanter robes with an equally amazing modded hair. I gave Alistair a stubble. There are even mods that add new magic schools and spells, as well as even have infinite summons. I like being a Rogue Ranger for this because I would have Barkspawn (Bean) and a wolf summon with me at all times. I love the wolf summons because they're fluffy AF.
The way I do the big battle with the mage, drakes etc is I trigger some and run back into the tunnel and fight them in there, then once they are dead and our health is restored I go out and fight the rest.
Well done getting (almost) all of the riddles! I'm a bit sad you missed that one, though. The bit of lore you hear after answering him correctly is one of the most interesting bits you can hear from those ghosts. It's been a decade or two since I first played this game, but I think I only got about half of them. 😞 Regarding that dialogue option you keep seeing when you talk to Sten, "I want to talk about something you said", or something like that. While Sten is in your party, he will sometimes comment on things he observes around you. After he makes these comments, you can sometimes ask him to elaborate by talking to him. Regarding Blood Magic: You may still be able to unlock blood magic for this character, but its a bit cheat-y. See, when you unlock a class specialization it unlocks for all future playthroughs as well. So if you were to locklock the Reaver specialization on your mage, you'd be able to use it if you played again as a warrior. I'm pretty sure that if you reloaded a save from back before you confronted the demon possessing Conner, you could talk to her, make the deal in exchange for power, thus unlocking the Blood Magic specialization. Then you could just reload your most recent save and take Blood Mage the next time you level up! I think so, at least. Like I said, it's been a long time. 👀
I know I was so close to getting them all 😢 Oooooo thank youuuuu I may give that a go and see if it works because that would be cool if I could unlock blood magic 👀
hey i think you missed a gift in the tower of the magi, it’s in irvin’s room, i don’t the remember if it’s called enchanter or irvin. But this gift gives you a mission if you give it to morrigan
You may need to look up how to find Sten's sword, it's a bit of a multi-part mission and you can easily miss the trigger to start you on the way. See if you can do it without looking it up. Scepticism that the ashes have magical healing properties when thousands of people all over Thedas can do literal magic. Odd. The Guardian of the Urn had nothing to say for Bean? 😞
Healing magic is relatively common in Thedas. Think of regular healing magic as cold medicine, or bandages. Great for treating small injuries and ailments. The Urn of Sacred Ashes is basically a cure for cancer, tuberculosis, leprosy, you name it. That's what makes is such a big deal, and why most people don't believe that it exists (also the fact that it was being obscured by the cult). There's basically no mages capable of that kind of healing magic.
Are you going to play the other dragon age games too I've only played Inquisition and I loved it. I recently just got the first two games though because on the steam sale right now they have them for like $3 a piece
Damn that's such a bargain! I love that aha and yes the plan is to play all of them, including the new one, though it may take me a little while to get there 😅
I know you've already finished the game but it still so painful to watch how you keep all these things in your baggage, like you don't need these, Kiki, why won't you sell it 😭😭😭
I can't keep up with your videos I'm afraid. I would like to, but 3 1/2 long videos every few days is a bit much for me. You will find out about Shale later, be sure to take 'it' to Orzammar.
Another piece of advice: don't rush through the game (cuz you are btw) I highly recommend doing every piece of side quests you find to gain XP and level up. Trust me you dont want to do the DLC under leveled...
I disagree. She isn't rushing through the game and she is just experiencing it for herself. I have played this game multiple times and done loads of side quests later in the game without any problems. I have completed this game 100% multiple times. There's much more of the game to go through. She did some side quests in the episode before. I have played this game multiple times. I have left some side quests for later too. Many of the side quests can still be done up to a certain point later in the game and she isn't even close to that part of the game. Dragon Age: Origins allows you to play quests in what order you wish. Dragon Age II you will need to do all side quests in act 1 as the plot is more linear in that game. Especially being a blind playthrough, this is normal speed. You will only be locked out of side quests if you are very near the end of the game, which she isn't. So it's nothing to worry about. She didn't rush through Lothering or Redcliffe and did side quests there. She isn't going to be able to 100% complete everything but that's fine for blind playthrough as this is not a 100% completion walkthrough. There isn't any level requirements for DLC in the playthrough. You can do Return to Ostagar at any level and I believe that is the only DLC left in this story. The other DLCs take place after the main story so it's not a problem as there is plenty of time until then to get xp. No need to worry her. Awakening, Golems of Amgarrak and Witch Hunt are all set after the main story.

A riddle? A puzzle. Oh boy. I had to Google that puzzle and I still do when I replay this.
