Ive been trying to get some commentary that resonated on Acts 9:32-45 ish for a few days after reading it a few days and this was good to come across ty.
As a young girl, my uncle would call me Dorcas and I'd give him a puzzled look because he was serious. He'd always laugh and one day I got so annoyed and asked him why he calls me that. He told me to go read Acts 9:36-42 and when I did, my eyes got so big! I saw my name, TABITHA! My dad named me but I had no idea that it was in the bible lol. As I've grown older, I have recognized that I posses some of Dorcas' same characteristics. I even started business and ministry using the name DORCAS and give thanks to my uncle for making me go read about her. I love her story....

The Scriptures do not teach we go to heaven when we die, this story is a good illustration that it doesn't make sense. The Bible says the dead know not anything so she wouldn't know she was dead and ponder about them praying for her. Heaven is perfect so why would God take us to heaven at death where we would watch all the suffering still happening on earth. The dead in Christ will go to heaven at 2nd coming along with we who are alive at His coming.
