I think Selene 6.23 is capable of further meanings, more personal, more intimate; one of Jonghyun's gifts was the openness of his heart to multiple feelings that he put into his music.

Because, the way I see it, since I became a shawol because I checked them out after hearing about Jonghyun's deat, I have been trying to reach Jonghyun, but because I was not a fan before that day, I feel like I don't deserve to say I miss him and be sad? So I try my hardest to reach him, to call for him, but I can't. And I wish I had been here earlier and I wish I did not feel bad about crying about it, but it's a weird and unexplainable feeling. It's just so weird to not have him in the new promotions and to not hear him in the new songs. However, SHINee are still shining. The loss of jjong doesn't make them less great. They'll be forever my favourite artists in the world.

This song is how I feel about Jonghyun at the moment. The more I learn about him, the more I embrace his works, the more questions I have, and the farther he gets away from me. I understand & respect that I never knew him, and I won’t ever know him, but it’s that bittersweet mystery. Relating closely, caring deeply, and missing someone you never met. And I know this is the case for every idol, but at least there use to be a chance of us meeting. I’m not sure if this makes sense.

It's 6.23 again, and I saw a big bright moon. Such a genius to write these lyrics after he watched the supermoon. Especially when he used the fact that the portion of the Moon always faces towards the Earth, and we can never see the far side.

You know, I think this is my favourite SHINee song. Because, the way I see it, since I became a shawol because I checked them out after hearing about Jonghyun's deat, I have been trying to reach Jonghyun, but because I was not a fan before that day, I feel like I don't deserve to say I miss him and be sad? So I try my hardest to reach him, to call for him, but I can't. And I wish I had been here earlier and I wish I did not feel bad about crying about it, but it's a weird and unexplainable feeling. So when I listen to this song and read the lyrics, I feel like I can relate, and at the same time it makes me feel a little better. I will never be able to explain this magic of music, but all I can do is thank Jonghyun and the other members for this song and all that they have done

It's just so weird to not have him in the new promotions and to not hear him in the new songs. However, SHINee are still shining. The loss of jjong doesn't make them less great. They'll be forever my favourite artists in the world.
I didn't know this song existed and the fact my nickname is Selene this just breaks my heart knowing I didn't know about this, SHINee, or kpop in general as I have missed such an honor to get to know these guys in 2008 and Jonghyun as well.
