To a large degree, this is Kanami's song, since she's essentially soloing from beginning to end. What is her value to Band Maid? Well, she plays lead guitar, and many consider her to be a world class rock guitarist; she taught Miku to play guitar (from "scratch"); Kanami plays three other instruments at a professional level; she's the primary composer and arranger for the band; she handles most of the computer-related work involving the band; she's cute and charming; she gives Saiki a reason to live (or maybe that's the other way around); she does occasional duets and backing vocals; she gives most BM songs their initial form and structure, and (effectively) "chairs" the group's development of each song; she participates in -- and sometimes initiates -- various comedic events involving the group; she is very well-read (mostly non-fiction literature); she has a university degree (purportedly in Economics). Other that that, she's basically "useless" to the band. (She was once described as a "classic air-head" by her band mates -- this had to be said in jest, since she is the antithesis of an airhead). She is a very exceptional woman.
Why do I like this comment? Because facts are facts. IMHO she is the most indispensable Maid. And because of the immense talent of the other Maids she has consistently developed and evolved her incredible composing skills to a level that satisfies me beyond what I thought would satisfy me musically. ðļ
@@jkkansasband7056 Imho, to a large degree, they are all Kanami's songs - as she is the one writing them. Yes, the band will refine them, but refining is a different beast than creating. I think it's great songwriting that sets otherwise equally talented bands apart: it is a talent unrelated to instrumental prowess, and far more rare. This alone imo makes Kanami the most indispensable Maid (but while indispensable, not imo more important to the band than any other member: this band needs them all together to create the magic imo).
OK you have to stop writing thing like this you've only succeeded in ripping my heart out and driving me to tears and now you know kanami mincho princess is my favorite thank you for this she is an absolute beast in the music world thank you again be well bm4ever
Kanami's vocal in this song were excellent as usual. I especially liked how she showed off her multiple vocal techniques to achieve the various effects she did.
They already have three amazing instrumentals- now they can add this to them :) They normaly play a couple isntrumentals in the middle of their long shows to give Saiki a break- but ive heard they have been opening with this particular one at a lot of concerts.
@@TomClark-Futoura Of course -- since many people would end-up in the hospital trying to play as she does -- we all admire her for it! Always good to hear from you!
@@TomClark-Futoura This has nothing to do with the topic at hand, but, since you are well-informed on a wide breadth of topics: do you know the current status of Jerome (Luniversed)?
As a Chef, I loved your music/food analogy. Next B-M reaction for you...... the MV's for Manners, Choose Me and Bubble. These 3 songs are what I would call "Middle" Band-Maid.
They will do an instrumental or two together with one or two of Miku's songs and Omajinai Time to give Saiki a mid-concert break. In the Dallas serving on October 21st they did "from now on" #8, "Rock in Me" #9, "Sayonakidori" #10 and then Omajinai Time (where the crowd sang "Happy Birthday" to Miku) and gave Saiki about 15 to 20 minutes to rest. They have a few other instrumentals: "Onset", "Don't Be Long", and "Without Holding Back." Check 'em out. "Maggot Brain" is legendary.
Hey no h, FROM NOW ON is now my favorite BAND-MAID track but check out ONSET-LIVE. IMO it's their previously best instrumental and will give you that same feeling all over again. Peace. 3.73
Very good point about them going "Full on all the time" ......that's why I can't take true metal music, it just wears me out after a bit....I'm just not young anymore....Lol! We lost bassist Chris Squire in 2015, passing the torch to MISA, without a stumble.

Kanami's vocals can be rendered softly, but they are always evocative and often moving.
Thanks nicolas!

As usual Akane is outstanding on drums !
Many of us recently saw Band-Maid play âFrom Now Onâ live. OMNG! Kanami riffed her ass off. And the BPMâs matched the DB's! ðķâðŦThx, Nic!
I feel that I should send her a box of Ben Gay for her wrists and fingers.
@@bruceveary1758 Yeah, Kanami does have a few issues with her wrists and back. She's always stretching them before and during breaks at concerts.
