For those questioning why, Ferrari really doesn't like it when you have something negative to say about its cars... Chris Harris had a 'Ferrari ban' for a while a few years ago for saying the press cars handled differently to customer cars...
08:20 shmee has a soul? Sense of humor? HE CAN LAUGH?!?!? On a more serious note though it's great when TH-camrs collaborate, it makes for such "special" content. This video brought out a side of shmee we don't see regularly. No facts & figures & serious info packed reviews just a man letting a car put a smile on his face.
Different videos, different channels, different styles... It allows us all to do our thing in this TH-cam world. Happy you liked it. :)

It also baffled me when I first noticed that in a much older video. In videos with other people Tim (shmee150) seems much more relaxed.

Good insights there, and I agree, its a car created to fit markets, specifically certain taxation legislation, rather than it is creating a car for a specific customer.
I think the V12 is still the one to go for, 4 wheel drive is more useful in the UK than people often think, for 8 months of the year the roads are greasy, wet or icy, and any of these high performance cars are transformed with 4 wheel drive, you can use much more of a 911 4S performance every day in the UK than you can an otherwise identical 2S. For most of us, the confidence boost of the extra traction is much more valuable than minor weight savings from the 2wd.

It's a good day when gear heads (petrol heads in the U.K.) drive and talk cars....the FF/GTC4 they are big cars for NYC home garages, our driveways are too freakin narrow.... would have opt for a Cali T as a weekend or vacation driver...good video & collaboration!

The Ferrari WRX... love it! And I love the color of your test car. You should add this to your portfolio James. Combines with RS6, the perfect daily drivers. Oh, and you should swap out the F12, add a Superfast, and get a package deal from your friends in Italy. They need to lure you back from McLaren!

I can see where your coming from can't beat the raw experience and excitement of normally aspirated V12 or any other aspirated engine for that matter but the way emissions are going even in the Uk give it a few years and we'll have to go down the the road of strapping turbos on all engines. Personally it wouldn't bother me as turbos have came on a long way it can only get better. Love the Ferrari GTC4 T. Never been a big Ferrari fan but this ticks the boxes.👍👌

James you are exactly spot on with the Chinese market! I drive a cayenne s that costs 90k in the states but it'll cost around 200k in China.

Mr JWW yeah in China for anything to be considered a sports/super/high end Luxury it'll most definitely be north of 200k USD. That's why lots of manufacturers like BMW & Mercedes partners up with Chinese auto makers to lower the cost
Yeah I think you hit the nail on the head there. With the torque and the affordability relative to the V12 it's a really attractive package and it's safe to say that most GTC4 owners won't be driving the wheels off it on the track. But when you think of Ferrari owners like yourself I doubt any of them drove the V12 version and went 'I wish it had a V8 turbo'. It may be slightly more dynamic but mostly this is just smart market positioning.
Car is fantastic, and I don't see why not two engines on offer, I'm sure many will prefer V8 Turbo over V12, so all is good, just too bad I cannot afford either. Great vid as always, nice to see you together for a change

You should try the V12. Maybe you could sell your F12 that's sitting home, and order the GTC4Lusso (V12) and sell the RS6 by the time it arrives. So you can enjoy your RS6, and not suffering of too much depreciation on it i guess

Yeah you gotta check out the V12 version to see what happens when practicality, luxury and V12 sensation meet and make one car all together. And also you better test a 812 superfast and find out how much quicker the nose got with the 4WS than your F12.

I know that it is not a car for the tuning market - but imagine how much more can be done tuning wise with those turbos. A simple chip tune maybe enough to beef power to the V12. Exhausts can also be tuned for sound, like Shmees GT8, get some soul back then lol.

If you are thinking something like underground racing with 1500 + horse power, then yes. They do have packages that you can buy for your ferrari.
the only thing (and nobody talks about it) it's that it's not a 4WD car anymore...
Yeah, that is a disappointment. 4WD makes it more of an all-rounder.

Quick question, do you keep your foot on the gas while shifting? Because I felt in an R8 you had to get your foot of the gas or the shifts weren't as fluent
Your metaphor at the end was a perfect example of where I feel like Ferrari is taking their cars: fast but quiet without the soul of Ferraris in the past. Turbos are killing Ferrari's cars. Its a shame that Ferrari has to put a turbo just to satisfy the 'environmentalists', and a V8 in a car that really shouldn't have one in the first place.
Screw the environmentalists! They're ruining Ferraris cars!

Well, if you want low end torque and to also save +50K they have the same nice 4-seater Ferrari with a V8 turbo. If not, no problem, they can also offer the V12 AWD version.
Porsche has gone all turbo with the 911 Carrera and 718 lines, and the 911 Turbo was always, well, turbo.
