Excellent video, helped me to take it to pieces and found it was the wrong key for the lock. Moved the wafers around to match the key and now it's now a 7 wafer lock instead of 10!. Without this video I might have not attempted it. Thanks very much for posting!!!
Brilliant now i can see what it works on and its not a major door strip to replace or unseize ,although i think my problem is they replaced the fobs for some reason but not the lock barrel as both keys do nothing ,it may just be seized .we will find out. next how could i have got in if the battery was flat ?? regards Eric
thanks for help i have now fitted new lock works well star torque is T25orT30 i also striped old barrel and set so my old keys worked it i now have a spare that works. TOP TIP check your key works this emegency lock because if your remote recharable 3volt battery or your main battery dies you will be stuck. and if you deadlocked it even worse and costley regards eric
@@ericcoombes8074 This happened to me. We were able to apply 12V via the trailer plug which allowed us to open the door using the fobs. Thank goodness. We also tried applying 12V to the starter motor under the car, but it did not work. The trailer pins worked.
