Thanks for taking the time out to interview me Mark really appreciated it, it was a special day and clearly it’s a bit difficult to film yourself and focus on what you’re trying to do at the same time. I love the cinematic opening as usual. You’ve absolutely nailed that one mate!
Thanks Simon, Thank you for taking the time to chat with me. The concourse is a huge commitment. As usual I only captured a fraction of what was there and I'm giving serious consideration to just attending without filming next time.
Thanks Simon. I was on my own this year so it made it challenging getting the opening sequence, especially when I was only about five miles from the exit of the A1 when I saw the first of the cars going to FOTU.
I miss colourful interiors like that Ford Fiesta. I beleive the Visa parked next to it is from Scotland and sure it suffered from a faulty alternator or clutch issue. Always liked the Nissan Bluebird, used to be one on my paper run. I need to try a Ford Ka one day and a Rover R8. Love that Alfa 145 with the boxer engine, orginally registered in Edinburgh most likely at Arnold Clark. The Blue Volvo 144 is another Scottish Car, have seen that a few times at Retroshi*e meets. Really like David's Focus Saloon reminds me of my Zetec Hatchback in the same colour i had a few years ago. 1.6 Petrol was always the preferred choice over the 1.8 among Focus Enthusiasts. The Autozan i beleive was another car from Scotland, bought by James Glen Car Sales in central scotland. By far the best coverage of FOTU, a well edited and well made video.
Thanks Davy, It's always a challenging event to cover due to the scale of this event. I took miss the bright coloured interiors of the late 1990's. There were a number of cars from Scotland and yes the AZ-1 is the car from Scotland. FOTU does seem to attract cars from the top of Scotland and the far reaches of Europe.
@@markonmotoring fingers crossed I actually make it to a FOTU one year, not sure of next year's plans as yet but would be nice to come down to FOTU. Looking forward to Rustival 2 through.
It certainly won't have been intentional, there are a lot of cars there and I knew that I'd miss the vast majority of them. I've been thinking that maybe next year I'll save myself the trouble of filming and just enjoy looking around the show for myself. I've seen a few videos where many of the cars around mine featured but mine had been passed over.
At least. Apparently there were around 1500 cars in the classic and concourse areas combined. I've seen cars on other videos that I didn't even spit on the day.

Thanks for dropping by Mark glad you like the Focus. I didn't really see half the cars there, I'm just happy socialising 😊
Yeh I'm seriously considering going but not filming so that I have more time to chat with people and hopefully see more of the cars.

@@markonmotoring I agree, in many way filming means you can miss some of the atmosphere many some non filming events are called for!
That Mk4 Cortina is absolutely beautiful and the personal history is so special.
It was in superb condition and with such an interesting back story.
The Punto is mine, thanks for the kind words. It was indeed car of the year, I’m 1995. There’s actually a sticker in the rear window celebrating that
You are welcome.
I think.we spoke briefly along with the guy with the red Corsa.
@@markonmotoring we did yes. I have subbed following that chat, was a great day
That's me in the background with the crying baby whilst you were trying to film the Autozam 😂
I remember you though can't say that I noticed the crying. 😅 It took a few attempts to make sure I wasn't getting you all in shot.
Thanks for commenting on my white Punto, the Wheels On It are actually from a Lancia Delta, so sort of in the family.
I thought they looked familiar. 😅
I seem to think that OZ also had a very similar wheel design available too.
Hi Mark, Thank you for taking the time to talk about my Rover 418GSD
My pleasure, inevitably some cars get missed but the R8 is a car I have a lot of nostalgia for.
Great video👍
Thank you.
Well shot Mark. Lovely intro again.
Thanks Simon.

Thanks for commenting on my Alfa 145 😊
You aee most welcome.
By any chance is this the same green boxer powered 145 I've seen at the Motorist previously?
Can't be many of them.
Yes I was there not long ago!
You may have seen my Sunflower Yellow Mégane Coupe there. I'm only about ten miles away from the Motorist so I suppose that makes it my local.
Thanks for getting my Fiat Ulysse in Mark, never occurred to me last year to take it but glad it went this year! Was a great show, great video👏🙏👍
@99AmethystZJ I think the only version missing was the Peugeot.
🤣🤣thanks for glancing towards my Nissan and totalling ignoring it - in an 'unexceptional' show that's the ultimate compliment 🤣🤣🤣

I seem to miss the socials for this event every year. Is it at the same time each year?
Yes around the same date but tickets go on sale way before.
