Capillary Concrete Bunker Renovation

Take a look at the process of renovating one of our bunkers with the new Capillary Concrete lining. This process takes about 4 days per bunker, so with more than 50 bunkers on the course, it is about a 2-to-3-month process! We appreciate the crew for working so hard to get this done as quickly as possible and with the least disruption to play possible.
First, the bunkers are edged to find the original size and shape, they are then emptied of all the old sand and irrigation lines. The floor of the bunker is adjusted to ensure a smooth and uniform base, and then the new irrigation lines are installed, ensuring positive flow of water. The Capillary Concrete is then installed, providing a porous concrete base to allow for better drainage and shape retention. Finally, fresh sand is added and compacted using water and a plate tamp. They are then raked and ready for play!
