Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed this episode but I cant help but feel that they had gokanaru on with a very specific expectation of the narrative he was gonna spell out; then tried to pull it out of him when he trailed on about anything else. Which is fine, nothing wrong with trying to direct the show; but i find that a podcast's format works a lot better when you really let the guest shine (joe rogan for example). Ultimately this episode left me wanting to hear more from gonkanaru, when in theory i should be wanting to hear more horseshoe theory as well

The way my guy keeps interrupting is frustrating. Anyone who’s watching this wants to hear what he has to say and I feel the way he’s going in depth is quite refreshing. Feeling like it’s going to get cut off at any second for three hours is uncomfortable lol. Not sure if Gokanaru will mention it in his video, but when I was a Sneako fan I noticed this all started the moment he cheated on his girlfriend and tried to play it off like it was nothing, and half of his fanbase attacked him for it, it was surprising because it showed how much the audience loved him, they were pointing out his fckups rather than mindlessly supporting his every endeavor. It's around that point I unsubscribed.

broo i remember that video. It left such a sour taste in my mouth. It honestly reframed his videos for me, the way he leaned into his own arrogance gave me the impression that all of his past videos were also just based off of this blind confidence in himself.

I think an interesting addition to answer the question, "why should you care about twomad?" is that he is also one of the most recent online figures that represents edgy humour. He managed to gain popularity despite the shift to "standardized" TH-cam. The way he responds to his controversies is a manifestation of rebellion against political correctness and cancel culture. I personally wonder if people support him just because of that, and I would be curious as to how/if that "influenced" people.
I think that exploration of internet ethnography is a very necessary thing! It excites me that it seems that this is emerging between you guys! -- Seems like JReg has the [idea] organization skills/academic knowledge, and Gokanaru has the data collection/creative lead ... would make a nice team.
The lost+loneliness arc is something that I personally have been going through as I transitioned to my Master study. Nice to hear it from this perspective here. I have definitely had moments teetering on getting blackpilled. This video also enlightened me to some things that I observe affecting my younger brother who is 15 (zoomer lol). Thanks, guys, definitely subscribed.

@@KallipolisCracks06 he acts very similar to people who do coke. Constant rapid changes of topics and changes of the ways he is talking. Shaking his legs constantly and other nervous gestures. Talking kinda faster than in his streams or videos. I‘ve been around people who take coke on the regular so I might not know what it is like for my own and how exactly it feels inside but I know how people act who take coke. The only difference is he doesn‘t want another round of coke after an hour or so or maybe it‘s cut. But yeah I would be glad to be proven wrong actually because there was a lot of good shit in his video. I just perceived a underlining malicious intent in his video. I think it was the pressure of societies malignant super-ego compelling the both of them to conform to standards that were not their own through avenues similar to sweet baby inc. that ruined them as well as many others. I'm sure other people, including the two i just mentioned, have felt that way about religious social authority and not just about secular authority. My point is; I recognize secular and religious authority a two arms of the same beast putting people through unnecessary stress and putting the blame for it on "the other" instead of on authority.

    Pearls I dug out:
    - Being online makes you craft an online persona. And being online influences your online persona. This in turn influences your offline persona (real self). For a lot of people the internet influences them negatively.
    - Being immoral gives you an advantage in gaining (short term) capital. The values that succeed in the current system are gaining traffic, engagement, capital.
    - Community and alone time are both important things to have in life. Most people nowadays probably have too much alone time, so focus on building community.
    - Don’t have twitter. Or instagram for that matter.
    - Keep doing shit away from the internet. The internet is only a stepping stone towards the rest of your life.
    - Caring about the hustle or the “sauce”, is one of the paths to succes. But do not get lost in the sauce, it will fuck you up mentally and will be bad for the world. Do not get blinded by the muck.

About Sneako surrounding himself with kids: if you have felt unloved and unappreciated as a child your mind internalizes all those stories. "I am incapable and unworthy of love". But when you are grown you can surround yourself with children (your children in most cases) that see you as very cool and capable, their perception of you is an empowering story for your mind than can become your new reality. So in a way the child becomes a parent to the parent/creates their own parent. You can sort of become your childs fantasy.

I don't understand the reasoning of having a very well informed guest on a show to record a natural conversation and then accuse them of "getting muck in your eyes" and "going all over the place" and lamenting a 3 hour recording. I'd rather hear a complete rambling point than a call out of not sticking to the interviewer's script and a termination of the thought.

I don't think it was the internet that ruined h3h3 or especially twomad.

I don't know enough about H3H3 but Twomad died because of Jameskii, this is a very sinister story. Recently the 13yo girl Jameskii was lying about came out of the psych ward and explained that she was very sad about Twomad's death and that she doesn't like the fact that she's used to make Twomad look bad.
