Drewski is a good player and knows his stuff about weapons, but unfortunately he lacks a lot of knowledge about the game, not the best to do guides for this game. But there are tons and tons of other guides out there :)
the vss is amazing in literally any game if you know how to adjust your tactics to it. it essentially makes you invisible when used correctly. unless the game has it wrong, obviously. lol
I LOVE running this gun. The subsonic ammo and integral suppressor makes it where you don’t have to mod a lot of the gun to make it viable, which makes it super cheap. It’s like an MP5 with a suppressor and AP 6.3.
VSS is easily the most OP and ubiquitous gun. Something you can literally spend 40-50k on, slap a sight on it, grab some SP-6 and shred anyone you come across. Built in silencer, amazing stats out the gate, and cheap attachments. This gun imo is one of the absolute best in the game for versatility, price, and capability. Only thing holding it back is a max mag size of 30 that costs a good chunk to have.
Irl the only difference is that Vals have the side folder stocks while also being used with the 20 round mags more commonly, and the VSS will have better quality barrels and parts as well as a scope
"They're lvl 15 and it's mid wipe so their kills have better gear than what we had" - I'm lvl17 and I can tell you that is not true, the reality is we don't have kills, all we do in this game is die or extract without seeing any other pmc's!
I thought the same thing lol. As a level 28 I can say I still die more than I feel I should. Still struggle taking on multiple opponents and I feel I never survive nearly as many shots as some of these streamers lmao
as someone who has been on this for years, you two must be new. not a bad thing, but it means you lack sufficient map knowledge and awareness, understanding of audio cues, confident ability of weapon handling, assessing matchups and general engagement approaches in tarkov (some or all of these). best way to get better at this.. run at players and fight... and lose. but youll have to learn eventually

(I don't play all week though) Then last time I played I killed 5 players and didn't die once in 3 PMC runs. That's tarkov 😂
Until this past week I was a level 10 with SR-25s, Thermal SVDS’, and tons of tricked out aks and M4s. When you play later in the wipe, it’s easy to catch an overly geared player off guard and kill them, even if you have worse guns or armor. That’s my guess as to why these lower levels are so geared
I mean I dont know what drewski is talking about when he says that the lvl 15 guys are so geared, when they have a lvl 2 armor and stock mp5 worth like 20k rubels. The P90 was found in raid, he picked that up in marked room most likely, and same with the guy that had BP ammo, im very confused as to how Drewski didnt understand that he just found those bullets, he didnt bring them in the raid.
Let me say, the new weight/stam system may have it's critics, but eliminating infinite ADS was the best idea I've seen them have lately. That way no one can scope camp you out.
I miss old Tarkov and the easy recoil. It made newer players who might not have the bets ammo a better fighting chance against chads. Now, I feel I need almost a meta builds to compete with chads because it’s so hard to get good ammo as a “casual” player
I wanna ask a genuine question, why do people keep the pot helm?, Ive seen countless streamers and youtubers keep it in their bags when they could've easily just dropped it for more loot, it never sells for much and it takes up too much space for what it gives, Id personally never pick it up unless either I don't have a helmet or my helmet is damaged, I wanna see peoples opinion on this. Example 8:40 dropping the helm for the mp5
Similar price but the gun takes more space or just because it's not worth the inventory management. The helmet also has more use cases post raid as its a good budget helmet with high ricochet chance.
1st time watching, great video. I like that you keep it clean (PG-13). I play with both my sons so it's nice to actually have a talented streamer not dropping F-bombs every 5 seconds thank you. Keep up the great work bud.

Sure the violence is cartoon, but the ideology is very adult. It's PUBG for kids. You can't teach mercy when the only objective is sole survivor. Tarkov is a military strategy game. It teaches tactic, team work, communication, discipline. Honor is what our clan teaches them. Showing mercy and taking the high road if the opportunity exists. Is there looting? Certainly, but at least it's tied to an economic return and necessity. I teach my boys gun safety, muzzle discipline both in game and in real life at the range. Both of them are extremely respectful and highly trained. You're welcome society.

Yeah exactly, if you have the drop on a guy at medium range with a basically stock ADAR, with good ammo you have a very good chance of taking him out and taking his loot. With bad ammo you are going to be fucked if it is a semi-geared player.
The players you see always blows me away, I even pause the game to see if I can see them and most of the time... nothing. Granted I'm watching on a phone but damn.
@@hoardingapples7083 also as val levels assault rifle skill, so it benefits from the reduced recoil of that skill...while vss levels your dmr skill and thus doesnt benefit from said skill
There's an actual rangefinder integrated in PSO scope on the bottom part of scope reticle. Numbers 1-4 are for 100-400 meters. The size of vertical line is the height of 1,7 m man standing. When you adjust yourself to these things, vss will become super effective gun - I can do 200 m shots. Personally - I love it.
Why does the game do that?? I removed “quick reload” because of the game dropping the mag but even tho I removed quick reload to some random keybind on my keyboard he still drops it every once in awhile. Do you know why? Maybe a bug?
@@chrislobo7945 If there is no empty slot in your rig when you reload, the mag will not have anywhere to go in your rig and your character will automatically do a "fast-reload", making you drop the mag. As far as i understood.
WolF I think ur right but I feel like there’s times my rig has slots and he throws it. I did play a few hours today and he never did it so maybe that was the case those few times. I still double check everytime tho lol
I was constantly asked and pressured to get this game by all of my friends because they played it. I finally bought it and now none of them will play with me and when i play by myself i get wrecked.
Speaking as someone who joined a couple months back I'd say alot of people who have joined are watching tips and trick videos. That's what made me switch to using the hunter and vss and buying the best ammo I can afford. And it has helped alot with fire fights.
IRL the Heckler & Koch MP5 SD variant has an integrated suppressor so effective, the sound of the reciprocating bolt drowns-out the report and the clicking is all you hear. It sounds like someone tapping the top of a desk using their fingernail. Sweeeet.

Yeah, I've liked the AS Val/VSS family since using it in weapons mods for Rogue Spear, if not Rainbow Six 1 on the PC. Being able to switch it to full-auto makes it fairly decent for close-up work, too.

IRL the supersonic “crack” is not useful to pinpoint shooters - the noise is omnidirectional and if anything it makes it harder to hear the muzzle “boom” (of non-suppressed weapons) which is how you can trace back the shooter's position.
The game is perfect No open world needed. Games like dayz end up becoming buggy and clunky as shit Eft is simple. It aims to integrate tactical value to its game play, immersion and ultimately, lots of intense fighting. That's why it's different from buggy games like scum, dayz, deadside, rust or pubg
@@tranglomango Well, the devs want an open world. It's what they wanted from the beginning. I know what you're saying, but, it's ultimately up to the devs whether or not they go through with it. If they do, they certainly are going in a different direction from those other games. Choosing to work on several small bits first, before tying it all together. And, with how open world games are loaded, and how slow the movement in the game is, it should be rather simple to implement it without too much trouble. The problem would come with overloading the servers. But, those can be upgraded.
I'm not sure if you know this, but if you hit "L" to examine your weapon and then hit B to swap fire modes mid-examine, it doesn't make the "click" noise.
The Scav like PMC with the M995 ammo probably watches Eroktic. He has been preaching about using great ammo and keeping guns rather stock because the ammo is what will win you the fight
Heres an idea. Get the squad together and equip with ONLY the VSS and the suppressed pistol of your choice snd comence to hunting . I like the woods, but you choose the map. Happy Hunting !!!!
I dont comment often, but I would love to see a solo series from you.. you might have done it before, but all the content Ive seen has been with other players lol. I just feel like your style and the way you talk would be great! for just the audience! No hate to the people you play with I just think it would be awesome to see. Like I said you might have already done a series like this that I missed (I just subbed) but I have had the game for quite awhile and have seen your videos throughout the progression of Tarkov, and I feel like its a genre you might have overlooked ha (coming from a guy that knows nothing about youtube or what works within it). This game has amazing detail. So what do you use all that loot for other than buying more rounds for the weapons you have? I would guess you have probably have tons of rubles so do they just keep piling up? Does the Scav boss randomly appear in matches?
You lose your stuff if you die, so you are constantly buying new gear sets, guns/armor/ammo and such. There are other money outlets like some of the quests or upgrading your hideout which can give you crafting options/stash space/quicker regen out of raid. Scav bosses randomly appear on their map, I believe all of them have something like a 33% chance of spawning.

@@311hitwall yeah you only lose what you take. And you can insure it, if another player doesnt take it out of the raid then you get it back. Keep in mind Drewski has a financial interest in posting enjoyable content, raids where you just get randomly one tapped by a player scav dont tend to look as enjoyable so they dont get posted but it happens to everyone. That said my experience is the economy is fairly forgiving and anyone that is decent at the game will get more money than they need. If Drew plays the game a lot it wouldnt shock me if he had more money than he could really use. It takes a long time to burn through all the hideout/quest moneysinks though.

Atm any suppressed weapon at a distance appears to have subsonic attributes. Even non subsonic ammo doesn't make a correct 'crack'. Hope the devs fix it. Would love to shoot 545 sub sonic for a reason

Man the mismatched parts on that VSS threw me for a loop, thought it was the AS-VAL for a bit. Never knew it could use 30 round extended mags.

@@tranglomango Well, the devs want an open world. It's what they wanted from the beginning. I know what you're saying, but, it's ultimately up to the devs whether or not they go through with it.
If they do, they certainly are going in a different direction from those other games. Choosing to work on several small bits first, before tying it all together. And, with how open world games are loaded, and how slow the movement in the game is, it should be rather simple to implement it without too much trouble. The problem would come with overloading the servers. But, those can be upgraded.
I'm not sure if you know this, but if you hit "L" to examine your weapon and then hit B to swap fire modes mid-examine, it doesn't make the "click" noise.

@@Memnon-ro4cl Incorrect. Tested it with buddies. It's silent. You only hear the sound of the examining of the gun, which is much quieter.
Turns out the explosion used to propel the bullet makes most of the noise. :)
The Scav like PMC with the M995 ammo probably watches Eroktic. He has been preaching about using great ammo and keeping guns rather stock because the ammo is what will win you the fight

I dont comment often, but I would love to see a solo series from you.. you might have done it before, but all the content Ive seen has been with other players lol. I just feel like your style and the way you talk would be great! for just the audience! No hate to the people you play with I just think it would be awesome to see. Like I said you might have already done a series like this that I missed (I just subbed) but I have had the game for quite awhile and have seen your videos throughout the progression of Tarkov, and I feel like its a genre you might have overlooked ha (coming from a guy that knows nothing about youtube or what works within it). I wish you all the best and realize you will probably never see this comment (or have had the exact same comments in the past) but all the same, good luck with your raids and may tarkov be with you!

That guy did the same thing to me. I thought it was a SCAV but he one tapped me in the dome. Didnt seem too bothered by me shooting back.
On pubg, I was in church tower, I know how to read scope markings. I killed two teams of 4 and they never knew what hit them
from personal experience, when the devs give you a million rubles, low level people get expensive equipment :)
Yea but 1 mil is like.... 2 maybe 3 fully geared runs, 1 if you really splurge.
This game has amazing detail. So what do you use all that loot for other than buying more rounds for the weapons you have? I would guess you have probably have tons of rubles so do they just keep piling up? Does the Scav boss randomly appear in matches?
You lose your stuff if you die, so you are constantly buying new gear sets, guns/armor/ammo and such. There are other money outlets like some of the quests or upgrading your hideout which can give you crafting options/stash space/quicker regen out of raid. Scav bosses randomly appear on their map, I believe all of them have something like a 33% chance of spawning.
@@baconeater5557 But you only lose what you take and what you acquire on that raid - right? Someone like Drewski he should have a ton of crap from the raids he has done.
@@311hitwall yeah you only lose what you take. And you can insure it, if another player doesnt take it out of the raid then you get it back.
Keep in mind Drewski has a financial interest in posting enjoyable content, raids where you just get randomly one tapped by a player scav dont tend to look as enjoyable so they dont get posted but it happens to everyone.
That said my experience is the economy is fairly forgiving and anyone that is decent at the game will get more money than they need. If Drew plays the game a lot it wouldnt shock me if he had more money than he could really use. It takes a long time to burn through all the hideout/quest moneysinks though.

Atm any suppressed weapon at a distance appears to have subsonic attributes. Even non subsonic ammo doesn't make a correct 'crack'. Hope the devs fix it. Would love to shoot 545 sub sonic for a reason
