I’m born and raised in North Jersey. So many people that work out of NY live in Hoboken, Jersey City, North Bergen , Edgewater , Weehawken area . Many beautiful apartments right by the bridges/ tunnels without NY prices ❤️

I'm from the Hoboken area. Definitely explore Jersey City and Hoboken as well, they're very good options and you can sometimes get a bit more space for a similar price to the city.

Wait, prices in Jersey suburbs are similar to NYC? Yeah I would just live in the city then and experience all it has to offer. Plus, less commute time!

I lived in Jersey City next to the path and I really suggest that! Please really consider it and go check it out. It’s close to your job and nyc legit takes 10-15 mins on the path. You’ll also save thousands. A very nice studio in an amenities building is around 2.5k

Youre definitely inspiring me to just move out of my parents in the nyc burbs. Question though how do you afford your own rent? I’m Head of Digital Media/Marketing at my company in NYC yet no one will rent to anyone making 70k alone…
Thank you!! You can def find a place with a roommate and look for something together! I luckily have been able to make a good amount where I should be able to comfortably find a good apartment

i’ve lived in LA my entire life & i’ve always wanted to live in chicago (which is how i found you!), but a big thing that worries me is the cost of living there or costs that are different than in LA
I feel like it is! Especially if u don’t have a car in Chicago
if you loved living in wicker park i would not recommend fidi at all
although the perks you listed are valid
but it truly has no neighborhood feel and is completely dead outside of rush hour

I think of seriously dating as being ready to commit to a long term relationship & more of the dating for marriage mentality
