I want to congratulate Yadi, Albert, and Adam on their fantastic careers. It’s truly to an honor to be the final opponent they faced (Yadi and Albert at least). It’s also bittersweet that both of their final at bats were base hits. That being said, avenging our era-ending loss in 2011 with an era-ending victory 11 years later feels amazing. It’s awesome to be moving on, man.

Cardinals blew a 2 run lead yesterday. Phillies carried a 2 run lead out through many innings. Baseball is like poetry, it often rhymes.
A few closing notes. It's sad to see Albert Puljios go. He was extremely entertaining to watch, even as a Cubs fan. He was a class act like no other in this day in age of baseball.
On another note, speaking as a Cubs fan to Cardinals fans, I'd start believing in curses right around now. That Harper dinger had Mitt Mittens written all over it.

I’m not a Cardinals fan, but I was really pulling for them to win this series. And even though my Red Sox didn’t make the postseason, these playoffs have been extremely entertaining to watch. The Mariners ending their playoff drought and coming back from 7 down to upset the Jays and advance to the ALDS, the Guardians walk off to advance to the ALDS, Astros and Mariners in the divisional round. But I would have loved to see the Braves and Cardinals facing off in the NLDS.
I’ve been watching baseball since I was a kid, I especially watched Pujols and Molina. Seeing Albert Pujols hit his 700th career home run, it was such a beautiful moment, man. This man has left a great impact on the game of baseball. So has Yadier Molina, hats off to him as well.

I'm a Cubs fan and I love the game. The Cardinals need to find a way to keep Molina active in their organization. He's a true Cardinals player through and through. In those big moments, it was those trade-acquired players who unfortunately did not come through. The opportunity was there and they choked. Now I said I'm a Cubs fan so I don't feel bad for the Cards but they shouldn't have gone out like that, Molina and Pujols deserved a better ending.
