The New Wonder Series I sell for less than the series II, because the keywork is somewhat less desirable. This one, in playing condition with good pads, probably brought around $600-750.
What a funny comment! This instrument sold, seven years ago, to someone who plays it. It sold for the same price as any other Conn New Wonder Series I alto. As a saxophone teacher who has bought and sold nearly 100 instruments over the years, mostly vintage saxophones, I can tell you that an instrument has one purpose, and that is to be played. These are not museum pieces - they are tools to make music with! The alteration (moving the bis key pearl closer to the B key) was an easy one which increased the playability of the instrument.
What is the value of the saxophone? I have probably an older version with the octave pad underneath the neck. M265381A Patd. CEC.3.1914 1119954
What was the type of resonators the pads on this instrument had?
I have one thrutone 1912
How much did this sell for?

I own one too
You should never modify a classic vintage horn, now it's worthless
