Heading to Kelowna and Big White in Feb 2020 - thanks for making this great video will definitely be stopping to sample the food beers and walks around Kelowna for a few days !
Being born and raised in Kelowna I can definitely say the attractions you can see is amazing and man how many hiking trails you can go on every single one is stunning in its own way. What's also the best thing to do in the Kelowna/BC area in the summer is camping, be it a tent or motorhome its so fun to just go out and camp.
You did a good job of noting more than just lake sports and wine. It’s nice to see local dining, coffee, and even skating outside, gives you a better idea of the city and its culture/vibe:)
This is so awesome im kelowna born and raised and this really shows an amazing side of my hometown I honestly stumbled upon your videos before you even moved to kelowna which is kinda crazy and the reason you moved to kelowna is beautiful I'd honestly love to sit and have a coffee with you if you ever got time let me know!

Amazing video! I've got a question. I've been lucky enough to get a temporary job at both big white and four Seasons whistler. I am thinking whistler is better as there's more touristy things like ziplines and tours of the mountain. I want to give Kelowna a chance, especially after videos like these though. Only thing is I have no transport and I'm on the isolated resort. Any advice? :)
@@Noahvde have you spent any time in Vernon? with it being so close to kelowna. but with lower housing costs i wonder if that might be a good alternative to save some money.
Mountain biking trails in Rose Valley Park, Rose Valley Lake and the Haymen Lake trail, Snowmobiling the Greystokes, backcountry fly fishing on the Pennask Plateau, hang gliding off Blue Grouse Mtn, motorcycling Westside Road.

Awesome video!!! Great camera work, pro level. I've been doing some vlogs highlighting this wonderful city of Kelowna. We moved here 3 years ago and we love it. I'm going to have to step up my game to get anywhere near your level.
This was really refreshing. Having grown up in Kelowna, it’s nice to see its good sides in one video. Big white is probably my biggest reason for living here as I’m not much of a wine enthusiast. My only issues with Kelowna, as a poor Mexican Ubco student, is that the transit system isn’t very good compared to something like Vancouver and the racism is kinda bad. Ive been kicked out of gas stations and if I take a run late at night, someone’s always going to ask me if I have drugs. But I’ve never been offered drugs, is that racist or selfish? I’m not sure, but I would say running at night isn’t a good time to run. Anyways, the restaurants are good but far apart, this isn’t Vancouver. I have to recommend the kekuli cafe with their incredible take on bannock. It’s out of the way especially if you’re in Winfield where Ubco roughly is, so don’t live in Winfield. Or Rutland either, well Rutland isn’t far but you will be picked on if you live in Rutland. Only advantages to Winfield is the access to Ubco, and Vernon, which is 40 minutes away from Kelowna but only 20 minutes from Winfield. Vernon has a very neat downtown vibe, I would argue more interesting and diverse than Kelowna, but don’t live in Vernon, it’s just fun for a photo day and that’s it. Winfield is also known for its kangaroo farm, which would be worth a visit to Winfield, but don’t worry it’s coming to Kelowna soon. There also used to be a crocodile farm in Kelowna, but it was shut down for some possibly illegal crocodiles. Also Kelowna has some crazy Japanese garden, it’s really close to a fairly decent Korean place, hoolala chicken cafe, which serves party trays of chicken squid and cheese. It would be nice if we had more street food, but sometimes pizza in a cone is the best you can get. If you ever see Peter the German and his sauerkraut truck, ask him for his secret flavour, Ze shocker. Other things to check out? Wentworth music is an incredible school/community for any kind of musician. And Toshidos MMA, while expensive, has made pro fighters like Rory MacDonald. Ultimately, if you’re young, which is truthfully rare in Kelowna, there’s lots of ways to blow your money aside from wine and food. Because you’re not spending it on clothes. There’s is no shame in wearing pyjamas in Kelowna. It’s lawless. But Kelowna is also a very comfortable place with cafes every corner and maybe too many gyms with a thousand treadmills but only two benches. It’s very laid back. People are friendly mostly, and it’s really grown, there’s even a movie industry now. Hope this helps if you’re planning on moving here or visiting.
I came from living in Vancouver; it's significantly cooler in the winter and hotter in the summer. The ocean isn't there to moderate the temperature. Was down to -20 some days which is unheard of for Vancouver.. Compared to the rest of Canada though, it's not bad haha
"In Kelowna it gets very cold" maybe not compared to Vancouver XD it was -37 here in edmonton a couple weeks ago haha. I am moving to Kelowna next fall and I am super excited :)
Awesome video again Noah, and some fantastic shots... Especially the skiing ones at the end of the video!! 🏂 It looks like a great city! Wow, I’ve been researching Kelowna (because I’ll be attending uni fall 2019 there) and I have to say this is the most info I’ve found and it was portrayed beautifully; makes me all the more excited to see where I’ll be moving for the next four years!
I also live in Kelowna and I’ve been to every single location on the list. How long have you been living here and how have you not been to all these iconic places?
downtown is gorgeous in the spring when the snow is melting and flowers are blooming, but its best season is summer because of the greenery and how the sun reflects off the lake. I also recommend going to Kelly O' Brian's if you like a good Irish restaurant and Pho's (pronounced fa) if you like Vietnamese, those two are definitely my top two favourite restaurants in Kelowna. If you also want a real taste of Canada we've got some good places to get poutine!
I used to give bike tours on the Myra Canyon trails. It looks so different in winter! edit: You should mention Gyro Beach. You can go out like a kilometer and the water is incredibly warm and 5 feet deep. Might have been a tough sell since you made this video in winter, but, yeah
If you are going to sandhill then stop by the fruit warehouse that is just up the street from them (vaughan). Cheap , in season, locally grown fruit! Fantastic in July and August for cherry/berries and September/October for Apple's and pears.
The best video I have ever seen for introducing kelowna. Great job!

Evan Chip I been here for 9 years I travel somewhere else every year so that might be why.
I live here and it's awesome
downtown is gorgeous in the spring when the snow is melting and flowers are blooming, but its best season is summer because of the greenery and how the sun reflects off the lake. I also recommend going to Kelly O' Brian's if you like a good Irish restaurant and Pho's (pronounced fa) if you like Vietnamese, those two are definitely my top two favourite restaurants in Kelowna. If you also want a real taste of Canada we've got some good places to get poutine!
What a wonderfull video, well done! I'm going to apply to Okanagan College, thnaks for sharing!
Great video dude! I`m from Russia and i`m dreaming to live in Kelowna! It`s hard to belive that so little city could being so cool!
Welcome to Kelowna! I'm a student here and I love it here!
Thanks Chloe :) it's been awesome thus far
where do you study?
I used to give bike tours on the Myra Canyon trails. It looks so different in winter!
edit: You should mention Gyro Beach. You can go out like a kilometer and the water is incredibly warm and 5 feet deep. Might have been a tough sell since you made this video in winter, but, yeah
If you are going to sandhill then stop by the fruit warehouse that is just up the street from them (vaughan). Cheap , in season, locally grown fruit! Fantastic in July and August for cherry/berries and September/October for Apple's and pears.
Does it get as cold as montreal in Kelowna in winter?
Do a video on Kamloops, British Columbia
