I am from Europe and I recently did a road trip through western-Canada. I saw this town on the map and I didn't really think much of it, seemed like any other town, however, I was longing for a break, thus I decided to make a stop. In the end, I am super glad I did. Given that the city is indeed incredible.
Being born and raised in Kelowna I can definitely say the attractions you can see is amazing and man how many hiking trails you can go on every single one is stunning in its own way. What's also the best thing to do in the Kelowna/BC area in the summer is camping, be it a tent or motorhome its so fun to just go out and camp.
I was born and live in Kelowna and I haven’t seen my city portrayed like a nice vacation spot before. It’s just felt boring cause I’ve already done everything here and I see it every day lol 😂😂
I live near Dallas, TX and besides buying random crap, there's nothing to do here. Even though I know Texas is a great place to start a family and get a job, I want to move to Canada because there's no nature here in Texas. It's just oak, sand, rocks, and dead bushes
@@HowdyItLovll Then move somewhere better than Canada like Colorado, Utah, Montana, Idaho or Wyoming. As a Canadian I would live in any of those states before living in Canada. ..Can we trade citizenships? :)
This is so awesome im kelowna born and raised and this really shows an amazing side of my hometown I honestly stumbled upon your videos before you even moved to kelowna which is kinda crazy and the reason you moved to kelowna is beautiful I'd honestly love to sit and have a coffee with you if you ever got time let me know!
Heading to Kelowna and Big White in Feb 2020 - thanks for making this great video will definitely be stopping to sample the food beers and walks around Kelowna for a few days !
Woah I’m 16 and lived in Kelowna bassicly my hole life and I’ve never looked at kelowna like this ever before thanks for opening my eyes and realizing what my home really has and is really about. Thanks
I lived in Vernon for a couple years, Kelowna area is absolutely gorgeous. I think I like Vernon more and it's only about a 35 40 minute drive to Kelowna.
I have never been to an abroad country, I wish I could go..So I am cornering to my home in Sri Lanka and watch videos of other peoples tour vlogs. Canada is a so beautiful country. Blessed from heaven.
Don't be fooled Darshika, life is hard everywhere for those who don't earn well. Sri Lanka is a beautiful country with many places to visit, I hope you're making the most of it. Tc
You did a good job of noting more than just lake sports and wine. It’s nice to see local dining, coffee, and even skating outside, gives you a better idea of the city and its culture/vibe:)
Mountain biking trails in Rose Valley Park, Rose Valley Lake and the Haymen Lake trail, Snowmobiling the Greystokes, backcountry fly fishing on the Pennask Plateau, hang gliding off Blue Grouse Mtn, motorcycling Westside Road.
“It gets cold in Kelowna” LOL moves from Edmonton to Kelowna this year the winters here are soooooooo much better. Also you should do a vid of the best wineries to visit! The views @ quails gate are sick
I always pass the salt & brick but I have never gone inside. Now I want to try it! I've been loving your videos lately! As someone who's lived in kelowna for over 16 years, it makes me so happy seeing my city looked at with such a beautiful perspective.
It's such a cool spot, the entire dining experience is so fun & the creations are delicious! So glad you enjoyed :) I'm sure we'll cross paths at some point in the city! Cheers man.
@@Noahvde It really is! This definitely inspires me to experiment more within the dining experiences in town! I'm a promoter and work alot of events downtown so I'm sure we will cross paths at some point! :)
As my friends say, "Kelowna draws you in and traps you". 10/10 vacation spot, but idk if I recommend living here long term. Its mostly vacation/retirement so there's not a whole lot to do after you explore everything. Cool video though! Really enjoyed it and it gave me some Kelowna pride.
We just moved here in November. This place is amazing! I already knew about some of the activities you mentioned, but there's lot of new-to-me things in this video -- thank you for that! Also, as somebody on a plant-based diet, I'm thrilled with all the restaurants that I can visit!
Perfect timing with this video, since I'll be heading to the Okanagan (and a few nights in Kelowna) next month for wine tastings. I'll have to shoehorn in some time for a hike though!
Ahh so much wanderlust watching this video! Extremely different to Australia, Kelowna is definitely on my bucketlist to visit! 😍 Such a great video, the colour grading and cinematic shots are so good. Your editing timeline was crazy!
As a local in west Kelowna I think it’s awesome that you made a video like this, great people here and fun things to do. You should make a summer version
@@Noahvde have you spent any time in Vernon? with it being so close to kelowna. but with lower housing costs i wonder if that might be a good alternative to save some money.
It inspires me to explore all over the places you introduced :) I can't wait to go Kelowna at the end of this month to seize my days!! Thank you very much x
Hi, I was born and raised in Kelowna and still live there to this day! Kelowna is a wonderful city with so many opportunities! Although it’s not very known across the globe. I was very very impressed with the quality of this video, I have never seen something so good expressing Kelowna! I am so proud to say that this is wear I live, when I travel and meet new people, they don’t know this town. So I show them this video, and they’ve got plane tickets booked! I am still in so much shock of this video! And again your camera quality is AMAZING, Kelowna looks like a scenic vacation! I love this so much and am now subscribed to your awesome channel! Thank you for all of your traveling tips and tricks! Keep doing what your doing!
Hey Myla!!, I live in Daireaux, Province of Buenos Aires. You can search it in Gog maps. That's right, we are a dot in the globe. I know of the existence of Kelowna and I hope some day live there or near there. Best!
I lived in kelowna for 5 months and it’s my favorite place on earth I live in Vancouver now everything started in kelowna so it’s such a very Unique place
downtown is gorgeous in the spring when the snow is melting and flowers are blooming, but its best season is summer because of the greenery and how the sun reflects off the lake. I also recommend going to Kelly O' Brian's if you like a good Irish restaurant and Pho's (pronounced fa) if you like Vietnamese, those two are definitely my top two favourite restaurants in Kelowna. If you also want a real taste of Canada we've got some good places to get poutine!
For those of you of european origin or perhaps you enjoy the German foods > across the bridge out of Kelowna into Peachland...theres a german restaurant that over looks Okanagan lake - outstanding food My Kelowna experience >>> a part of my heart has been touched so much so that someday soon I will relocate to Kelowna to stay
If you are going to sandhill then stop by the fruit warehouse that is just up the street from them (vaughan). Cheap , in season, locally grown fruit! Fantastic in July and August for cherry/berries and September/October for Apple's and pears.
