Been coming to Tamarindo since '92. Sadly I'm a little too old now. Loved walking along the beach from Langosta into Tam. in the morning around the point, stopping for a coffee at Nogui's maybe a lunch at Buon Appetito , lovely Italian lady owns that spot. The Sunday beach barbeque at Capitan Suizo, a quiet evening dinner at Cala Luna or Fish & Cheeses. Lovely sunsets and friendly people, both Ticos and visitors. You can tell I belong to the older crowd. I'm going to miss it.
It sucks aging out of vacation spots, but I guess it sucks aging period. You can still go. Tamarindo is a fun surf town. The night scene is a bit seedy, but when I went in March, it was the most beautiful night time weather I've ever experienced.
What was seedy about the nightlife? Is this good for a bachelor party?
@@johncarrigan7700 - there were a lot of drug deals on many street corners and hookers walking around when I went. For a bachelor party you will have a great time because there a lot of options in bars, and like I said, the weather was next-tier gorgeous at night.

I’m going in February 2024. This is going to make the time drag slower. Ugh. Can’t wait!

What a wonderful country. All those amazing beaches. Friendly people, and nature with no comparison. If I would like to live in Costa Rica? of course ! it is my dream life. Oh oh but wait a minute! I live here and Guanacaste is my backyard.
Pls never go to San Jose, Heredia, limón and Cartago I talk by experience i was raised there

Hey Denice!! I'm going there for my birthday with my boyfriend. I'll be staying in tamarindo, do you suggest renting a car or relying on taxis? I'm not sure what to do! Thanks :)
@@princessdianaox hey there! My partner and I rented a car because we wanted to explore other areas of Costa Rica but if you only plan on being in Tamarindo, it’s not necessary. Also with renting a car, the insurance is VERY expensive (it was around $350) and it’s mandatory also the deposit fee was $500 with a major credit card. So if you will be local (depending on where you are in Tamarindo), you definitely won’t need to rent a car. For example, i stayed at the Jardin Del Eden (you should google it for reference to see how far you are from there)….we really didn’t need to drive our car in that area because everything is near there (close to the beach, bars and clubs). Hope that helped ☺️

Thank you for the great video I was in Dominican Republic the horses are on the beach just like in Costa Rica ... they go to the bathroom and nobody picks it up and it goes right into the water I just don't understand that
You cant be sure that doesnt happen here in Costa Rica, the people are very careful with the beach, i tell you never see that here.

It was one of those companies there on the beach.
if you want less of a booze cruise experience book the Marina del Ray catamaran. It was 120USD I think but huge (66 foot) and had a more chill atmosphere (but still open bar)
