My Dad has been paying through Momo for sometime now but surprisingly, our bill keeps compounding and we don't see the reflection of the payments made! How do you go cashless with such a terrible payment platform, atleast there is a need to make sure that the system is ready for the task they're about to embark on. Imagine, if now that payment is not 100% cashless, there are challenges like this, then when pressure mounts on the payment platform, will they be ready to contain it? My dad wants me to make time to go there and rectify all the payments that didn't reflect, my problem is not the cashless, though cashless has it associated problems. My main problem is, before they embark on such an exercise, they should check their system because is terrible!
I think there has never been a time in our lives as Ghanaians or humans where we have accepted new systems happily.. Its not going to been 100% from the onset but it will be perfected as time goes on.. am sure if we all accept and put them on their toes its not a bad idea

Ecg people no be serious...I remember last year my meter get fault I called them ... Them say make I come office .. I go the office still nothing... So I decided to play a trick on them ...I later called them and lodge complain that I don't buy prepaid but the meter is still working for about 6 months now without credit.... Charlie very quick and sudden them come .. wey I tell them meter spoil... Them nearly kill me😅
ECG going cashless means you don't pay physical cash at ECG offices. You either use the ECG app or *226# and there are no charges or e-levy. If the network is down or there is an app problem, you can go to a vendor and pay cash or go to an ECG office to make payment digitally via momo or POS or pay at the bank with cheque or cash. So basically, ECG won't take physical cash from you. The banks and vendors can take cash from you but ECG offices won't. If you have to pay at a district office, the system will send your momo a prompt to make payment or you can use POS. No more greasing of palms, queueing and employee theft.
