    I can tell you're an amazing car reviewer because you're one of the only ones I've ever seen to talk about how good Lexus is with trunk materials and finishes on certain models like the GS and LS! You know your stuff! Subscribed! Not enough car reviewers notice these types of things. Even an S-Class Mercedes doesn't have the same trunk finishes that Lexus does. No one does attention to detail like Lexus!

      thanks, i just wish the japanese car makers can catch up in terms of software UI design compared to the Germans. The part where I mentioned that the Lexus LS had different font sizes and kernings in the rear seat control panel UI is disappointing. But I also understand it's because the Japanese people don't complain enough, they always blame themselves first, thus facing with a bad UI design, they will go "it's my fault that i haven't learn this User Interface good enough to master in it, I shall give myself another week and if i can't do it with ease, I shall commit harakiri ...." whereas the german customers would just go "hey designer, you designed the User Interface? It sucks, let me tell you why..... "

      @@BobbyAngmalaysia Yes I loved that part as well. That was another very excellent detail you mentioned. • @BobbyAngmalaysia
      @BobbyAngmalaysia  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I thought you guys in US would've been able to spec anything you wish for buying a Lexus for the sheer volume there. Lexus sells about 800 cars in Malaysia EACH year. Which is what they do in 3 days in US i supposed. :)

      Bobby

    • @NA-du5vm
      @NA-du5vm 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BobbyAngmalaysia to get the Kirko Glass interior upgrade you can only spec it in black in the US. Actually from what I've seen cars outside of the US tend get better options than the US market. We don't get the LX570 Signature model neither.

    • @BobbyAngmalaysia
      @BobbyAngmalaysia  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It really depends to be honest. In US, car makers are prohibited from selling cars directly to consumers. This is because of the strong lobbying by dealership groups in the name of 'protecting consumer interests'. But in actual fact, for dealership groups like Penske for example, all they care are profits and profits and profits. The brand building journey are non of their concerns. Thus for a car like the Lexus LS, which is somewhat a $75-$90k luxury car, it's a big item 'stockpile' that they have to spec the standard 'Black, white, silver' colour option, and for interior, the most 'movable' ones as well. As for Malaysia, Lexus is fighting an uphill battle against the number 1,2,3 luxury brand namely Mercedes, BMW and Volvo. Thus they need to sell these 'halo' cars that wont make them money, but makes a brand statement and shows commitment to customers. Malaysians are one of the few countries in the world that are willing to spend a huge percentage of our monthly incomes on cars. Even if our cars are expensive. Whenever we get tax breaks, we go mad buying up cars. Take for instance PHEVs, which gets a tax break if they're below 2.0 litres and locally assembled. We bought up so many X5 xDrive40es that Malaysia ranks just behind United States, and we bought so many XC90 T8s that Malaysia was the first country out of Sweden to assemble PHEVs for Volvo. Since late 2014.

    • @jackalshine660

      Tbh some of Malaysian spec cars are significantly specced higher than Murica’s spec.. im amazed.

      Let's break it down.
      Audi A8 - Can't find anything wrong with it but the interior and exterior design is dull.
      BMW 7 - Beautifully built interior, drives very well, comfortable, and the new facelift is imposing as fuck.
      Lexus LS - Handsome, best interior build, lousy infotainment, cramped interior, doesn't ride as good as the Germans.
      S-Class - Rides beautifully, designed beautifully in and out, handles well, materials are a mixed bag of high quality and low quality.
      If it's my right brain, it will be the LS, if it's my left brain, it will be the 7 and the S.

    This car's exterior designers took a bland Asian design, tarted it up with misplaced details to make it look more expensive and grafted a mismatched Audi style grill on it. Fail.

    I guess by reading the comments, most of the peasants commenters can't afford to buy cars like this and give themself low self asteem reassuring statements like better buy house la. Lexus sucks la. Contis the best. Can buy in 7 years time. Malaysia car price so expensive....very Hilarous comments... Hahahahaha
