This is the 6th lecture of chapter-1 of Class 12 (Fundamentals of Partnership Firm). In this lecture I have explained the following topics:
1. Calculation of Interest on Capital using 'Traditional Method'.
2. Calculation of Interest on Capital using 'Product Method'.
3. Calculation of Interest on Capital using 'Direct or Short-cut Method'.
4. Calculation of Capital Ratio when capital is fluctuating.
5. Distribution of Profit using capital ratio.
In the upcoming lecture I will discuss the concept of 'Interest on Capital' when closing balance of capital is given in the question.

Sir question mai at the end of each quater hai tb 4.5 average period hoga na ki 7.5 .agar at the beginning of each quater hota tb na 7.5 average period hota
Don't remember formula without understanding it... I have explained in the lecture how 7.5 came. To understand more u can watch my lecture on interest on drawings.
End of the each quarter tab mana jata whn first drawing starts from 31march and last drawing on 31 December
But here drawing makes at the beginning of quater
1. (1-1-2016 to 31-3-2016) and is quarter k duration me drawing kiya gya tha 1-1-2016 ko so rule aply according to beginning of each quarter

Sir I have a general doubt.... In sole proprietorship we calculate interest on capital on the opening capital.... but why in partnership we calculate on net profit...... why not on opening capital of the partners..???? Plz clarify my doubt sir🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

12000×6×6÷100÷12 =360
What if the interest is to be calculated for 1 month and 12 days.. should i write it as 1/12 × 12/ 365?
It should be like that for example if interest have to be calculated from 20th feb 2021to 31st March. Then:-
39/365 ×rate/100...just for example( the date I mentioned) normally they will give some time which will be divisible by 365....
At least that's what I can understand from my POV.

It will be calculated as---- amount × rate/100 ×1/12 + amount ×rate/100 × 12/365

75000 and 30000 have been divided by 15000...so as to obtain the smallest numbers possible..which in this case came 5:2....75000 divided by 15000 is 5 and 30000 divided by 15000 is 2
