So it means that the garment is dyed after it’s constructed rather than the fabric is dyed first before putting it together. It usually results in a less even dye overall as some parts will take to the dye better than others which can lead to interesting finishes / texture looks. Can be especially interesting if a piece has different fabrics making it up as they’ll look quite different too.
