Hi! I´m from Uruguay and I want to start medicine in Italy next year. Could you please talk more about the IMAT and explain if tuition means the classes of the career or just another extracurricular thing. Thank a lot
Thanks very much for your information. I am Italian, I come from Milan but I am currently studying medicine in Australia. Do you think that in the future when I want to return in Italy I can translate my degree obtained in Australia? And will it be valid in Italy for work? Thanks a lot for your information and your video!
What do you think about studying medicine in Australia? I have heard that German students also go to study in it, I do not know why because the subject is not clear to me, but from my point of view, Australia gives wonderful and very high salaries to doctors and the quality of education is good, is this true?
Hi man, great video and thanks for a lot of helpful informations (y)! I wonder if Italy accepts foreign doctors or what's the currenct situation with medical professionals. Because one of my dreams have always been to move away from my country and choose life somewhere where it's good.. don't want to talk more about it xd.. i'm medical student in my country and i have no problem with learning italian language.. just wondering if italian hospitals accept foreign doctor. :) if u gonna see this comment, thanks for response and keep up the good work man. :)
I appreciate the kind words. If you are a med student you can try to undergo the process of course transfer and continue med school in Italy where you left off. In terms of practicing medicine, you must learn Italian. If you speak the local language and you are a good candidate based on national exams and residency, you will have a good shot at practicing medicine in Italy. There is much more that goes into this. If you would like to chat, shoot me an email.
Hello bro,my english is bad,i study english,so didn't unerstand you well,I'm going to enroll only in 2023,as I understand it,you will not need to take IMAT in the 1st course, you only need to take it in the 2nd course? Will the 5,000 euro scholarship be enough for studying?
I have a question, I live in Portugal but I don't understand what is that IMAT exam, in what consists that or is just for international students like american??? If so, I just need to have good exam grades from portugal to apply?
Everyone must do the IMAT exam, internationals, EU citizens, and Italians that wish to do medicine in Italy in English. Your admission is solely based on your score on the IMAT and how you rank among other candidates. In this video th-cam.com/video/GwnHO6474aI/w-d-xo.html I provide a comprehensive overview of the exam
Hi, I encountered a video here in TH-cam which says that for those non Italian students who took up their medicine in italy under English language may not be recognized in US, is this true sir? Thank you
Here is a detailed article about the current situation... www.medschool.it/2016/04/12/can-you-do-a-us-residency-after-english-language-italian-med-school/
Hi sorry when you mean grade 12 diploma Do you mean in science or it can be from anywhere ? As I’m from art background but did my MSc nursing (2years ) in the Uk nd I would love to do medicine , do I do A level courses in science or I can apply with my arts diploma
Probably arts diploma will be enough as long as you had at least 2 years of chemistry, physics and biology or equivalent. I also think you might not even need those 2 years in these subjects since the requirements are really loose here. What I'd do in your shoes is contact nearby Italian embassy via the email and ask about the requirements (if you are eligible to enroll). Should be fine, no worries :D You only need high school diploma - successful graduation with potential state exam (1) and to take IMAT exam (2). That's all, no SATs, BMATs...just IMAT exam after you have finished your high school. I'd add MSc in nursing as well as a reference of passing the science classes (no need to do the extra). What counts for admission to faculty? Only IMAT score, nothing else. Diploma is only to show that you've reached that level, ready to enroll to uni.
Hi there, I am not sure what this exam is or what it means in terms of grades. However, none of that matters, you just need to have a high school diploma to be eligible to apply. If you have further questions, shoot me an email!
Hi, thank you sooo much for sharing this info with us. The tuition is very affordable for sure, but I wondering how much you spend a year on rent, utilities, food, internet, phone, transportation, leisure, etc... and where do you get the money to pay for all this? I don't think I can get federal loans here in the US to pay for an Italian medical school, but can I get private student loans to cover the living costs? Again, thank you.
Hello there, welcome! Cost of living is highly variable, depending on the city size, proximity to town centre, etc. However, the trend is that the North is significantly more expensive than the South. In general, living costs for students range from 500-1,000 Euro/month. Universities also offer limited jobs for students, and learning Italian asap is important for that. I suggest you talk to your bank and visit several banks, your family may need to sign off on the loans. Otherwise, private lending companies are ALWAYS willing to give money!
Hey there, i wanted to know Whether regional scholarship of 5000 euros provided on the basis of family income or academics from 2nd year onwards? Like my family's income is higher than €23000 so does that mean i have no chance to get scholarship?
Hello, you can choose to have your tuition calculated based on family income using something called ISEE. There are ISEE calculators online to get an estimate of how much you will pay for tuition every year. Scholarship is something completely different, it is based on different requirements and each med school has their own scholarships, so you will have to check with the university you are applying to.
@@anshtushir3880 As a medical student you are not trusted to perform even the simplest procedures. In Italy it is all based on experience and seniority. However, all of the needed clinical practice is done during residency.
