    Awesome design, thank you for being so generous. So many great balloon artists are still teaching one balloon teddy bears. Its great to see atleast a handful of talent sharing there love and work. Mr. Booma you are the man.

      Many great balloon artists teach one balloon animals to the general public… And then they charge for tutorials for more advanced designs. In fact, some have even gotten mad at me for oversharing here on TH-cam. They think having awesome stuff like this readily available reduces the market for their paid tutorials. I think I help expand the market by growing the industry.

      I agree, the reason why balloon art is still so unknown to the general public is because its so hidden. Keep up the phenomenal job, would love to jam with you.

      We have a monthly jam here in SoCal at Mayflower Distributing in Cerritos the first Monday of each month. If you're ever in the area, that's where I'll be.

    very cool. love the design and colors! but I was wondering if you might have a design that uses only 260 and 160's? I don't have many "specialty" balloons like hearts and geos., or even different colored quick links. if not its quite all right but I was just wondering? thanks for all the work you do putting these out there too!

      I don't, but I have a bunch of playlists on my channel where I have saved videos by many different balloon artists, organized into categories. If you look at my Balloon Twisting: Mammals playlist, I believe I have added a hippo by Sergey Loginov to that list that is made from just a couple of 260s. Thanks for watching!

    Such a cute hippo! I think your ear only deflated because you broke off the extra and didn't tie a knot. Try tying a knot to keep the air from escaping from that ear. Nice "Hip-Pop-appotamus" song. Very catchy!

    • @MrBomasBalloons
      @MrBomasBalloons  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yep,that is why the ear deflated - I didn't tie off the balloon like I usually do. But I didn't leave myself enough tail! I always forget that 160s aren't quite as stretchy as 260s, so I need more tail to tie them off. Oh well! Thanks for watching!

    How do you use a 5''round ?

    • @MrBomasBalloons
      @MrBomasBalloons  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Attach the nozzle at the nose/top, and then you need to make a sidewall bubble or use a raisin to create the connection at the bottom.

    I hate to do that, rate thumbs down when I love your videos, but it looks like a lot more hard work than necessary to make a Hippo. It does look nice but it also seems 'somewhat fragile'

    • @MrBomasBalloons
      @MrBomasBalloons  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for letting me know why you gave a thumbs down. So often people just hit-and-run, which is not helpful at all. This is definitely not a line work type design, but once you have practiced it a bit, it doesn't really take that long. It could be made at a party or restaurant if you aren't too busy. Could you elaborate on why you think it seems fragile? I haven't had any issues with it at this point. I would just ask that you give it a try before passing judgement. Thanks for watching.
