Would be nice near the end to have a more functional tool for finding what's left. I know there is the ringing tool near secrets and the numbers shown on each biome but after 80 hours of this beautiful game you dont have the will to crosso the whole map again searching for secrets

Absolutely insane, the amount of work you put into this. Even if I somehow don't need the map, I'll definitely pick it up to show support for your efforts. I'm currently only about 3-4 hours into the game, and just got to the Galefeather boss fight. I've been marking stuff as meticulously as I can, but I'm sure I'll reach the end and then need to dive into one of these maps, since this isn't the type of game you can just romp around hoping to find more areas you haven't explored yet. Awesome game, and just as awesome work here!

Yeah, definitely the biggest metroidvania I‘ve ever played. Doing NG+ now and still 25 trophies left. Game value is awesome. I might be sad if the journey is over. Could play this forever.
This map helped a lot. Easily the biggest MV since Hollow Knight if not bigger and I would say much denser in terms of collectibles. Plus the side quests are a bit of crapshoot in how you progress them at times. Thanks a lot!

For me the easiest way possible to beat Red Renee is to purchase Bloody nobility whip from Stanley store, level itup 3 times and pair it with Nosferatu fangs ( spinning attack plus bonus of health regeneration on each hit ) hope this helps !

Walls are almost always breakable from the other side, rather than requiring a specific power. Floors, on the other hand, require the "Plate of Kingworm" ability from a boss in Forest Foregone (a roughly level 50ish area).

I don't know about other systems, but there does need to be a update for the playstation version of the game. Cause everytime I use the manta ray the map bugs out and says i'm in rest village. Trying to figure out where you're supposed to go is a pain in the ass when there's no map to look at.
100%. Ender Lilies has really mixed popularity in the metroidvania circles I dip in an out of, but I think it's a really good game. A huge pity about the actual in-game map, though. Would have loved a rework of that.
Wait how do u access Nigredo Tower and Teardrop Base? I saw the reference to Nigredo tower from the Bloodstained Magic Book that u get from the Whispering Woods at the end of Nicole's quest but I didn't know u could access that tower also how do u access Teardrop Base? Is that the secret island that u have to turn the light off on the boat and hit the switch after being in the fog or whatever for 3 minutes?
Nigredo Tower is accessed first in the "NG+" mode - I really hate calling it NG+ because that isn't what it is at all; it's like a 10-chapter long side story that you do after getting certain endings in the main game - but after you've finished NG+ you get to go there in your main save file through the teleporter in Albedo Tower that wasn't working previously. Teardrop Base you get the key for from Aros over in the watery area where you get the swimming ability. Then you can just take the manta to the island on the world map. :)
Hello Damajen, please help... how do you get into scorchwhere to get the Qian glyph? That one in the upper left corner. I have triple jump and to break the floor... but it seems to me that the map should be inverted; I don't know if that exists in this game. Help please =), blessings.
Hey, sorry for the super slow response, I’ve been teaching. You need to defeat a boss in Whispering Forest to get the Eye of Gangor afterimage that lets you dispel petrify. Then you need to get the Sorrow glyph from Sunken Sanctum beneath Holy Grounds. And THEN you can go back to the far right of the map, past where you got water breathing, and unpetrify an egg to release an NPC who will transport you up to the top of scorchwhere where you get the super jump and can access that glyph.
Gotta go all the way to the top of the map through Goliathfall, head left through Scorchwhere, to the Ferry Master who can take you to the left side of Rubiwood Desert. It's a late game area (though it isn't super big).
It's the "Treasurescope of Se" afterimage, bought with Se's coins at the fairy in Halcyon Veins. You'll need to buy out her various tiers of items before it unlocks for purchase, however.
@@demajen I got it from Fanatical bundle, Afterimage and 9 Years of Shadows both for less than 15 euros. Hollow Knight I got from GOG sale back in the day for 7 euros, I have more than 500 hours in HK - talk about value for money :D
Now THAT is some serious hours per euro! How've you got THAT many hours in HK? Multiple runs? Modded stuff? I got up to about 160 and tbh I'll probably never touch it again xD
@@demajen lol shamed to even admit that! I'm not even young :D - I've completed the game to 112% maybe 3 times, I have been doing Path of Pain runs to sharpen my platforming skills. First time I could barely get it done and it took 8 hours (had not played any platformer since c64 era) - last year I could do it in 3 minutes, 30 seconds - not that fast - but IMO good for my personal record. I've also been doing God Home bosses on and off, I forget the patterns, and then I have to learn those again :D. I have probably done half of the bosses in radiant mode, but I've not yet beaten Pantheon 5, and probably never will, although I've beaten Absolute Radiance in practice mode maybe 20 times. I'll leave P5 to more skilled and younger players :D
I followed your Map but couldn't find one from the Goliathfall I had 39 out of 40. Can you check if something is missing? or am i missing something? Also I found 39 items from Rainbow plains and 57 items from the resting path which are more than the maximum number of item that Se's afterimage tells us. Do you know whats going on?
I suspect it is because they moved some stuff around in the first big patch and possibly didn't update the numbers for Resting Path/Rainbow Plains (Resting Path counts Resting Town as well, and Resting Town got the Flower of Confluence item which was originally elsewhere, which would put it one over the tally). Likewise, Rainbow Plains got the Scavenger afterimage added -- though technically it should have simply swapped count with the chest that was previously there that used to contain 2 health potions that now occupy the chest Scavenger used to be in). I count 40 things in Goliathfall including the Zhen glyph, but again, that 3x health potion chest that used to have the Scavenger item might be the issue.
Really kind of you to say. This is probably my second most popular map after the original Hollow Knight one I made a few years ago - it's certainly the biggest world and most timeconsuming map I've put together - but people have been kind with donations on my ko-fi page.
Does anybody know how to open/unlock the locked door in the Sunken Sanctum that u find passed the illusory wall? I've scoured Google and/or TH-cam and I can't find anything about this any help would be appreciated
You can only open that door in one of the chapters of the extra story mode that the devs have (for some reason) labelled "NG+". It's the only way you can explore that area. Even after you complete Ch10 and return to your main save to continue with the extra content, that door closes again. There isn't anything in there as it is purely for story purposes in NG+.

There are six mask shards: 1) Mysterious Mask, 2) Mask of the Occult Prime, 3) Nucleus of Talos, 4) Damaged Mask, 5) Shattered Mask, 6)Broken Mask. So you are missing one :)
Ok forest forgone very far right at the end bottom road is closed from both sides It's closed from forgone and from next new area how I get in please😫?
Bottom right past the tortoise? Or before it? There's a one-way breakable wall that you'll need to loop up and over through the Silent Coast to get there, and you'll need to downsmash if you haven't already got it.
@@demajen forest forgone that touches coast but both breakable walls break from the inside that I want to reach both on forgone and on coast I dont know where to downsmash I have the ability and in my version I can see some 'invisible' floor very close after breakable forgone wall Also in your version some plain walls act as spikes near giant earthworms ? Same area but to west 👈👈 The place I want to reach includes a Greatsword art a Geo Carapace and Halo Of Genesis I see from map that forgone wall is the exit but coast wall entry is also unbreakable Sorry for all that mess😇😇
@@penance8717 The downsmash ability is near you if you're at that border. From the confluence that isn't too far from the border you're trying to cross, head west and up a little to the Xenal Watcher fight where you can get the downsmash. As for the plain walls acting as spikes, that doesn't sound right at all... What system are you playing on because that sounds bugged to me.
@@demajen Breakfloor ability I already have Do I use it from coast side I only see there a wall that must be hit from inside just after Halo afterimage suppose to be and I dont see any breakable floor I am playing on PS4 map surely buged Orange area from Forest forgone and upper Ice area You step on invisible floors and you pass through walls that do not dissapear but only around those 2 areas I suspect my breakable floor for Geo Carapace and Halo afterimage is just invisible to me My game Disc brand new and undamaged of course
Yeah that sounds super messed up. As far as I know, my maps are up to date for how the areas and barriers should work, so if the most recent version of Forest Foregone isn’t exactly as it is on my map, game is definitely bugged. If you have access to it, I recommend the Afterimage discord for asking about bugs. The devs are very active on there and have answered a lot of questions for me when I had them.
It’s an option on the Equipment screen called “enhance”. It doesn’t stand out enough, unfortunately. Every weapon can be upgraded like 3 times, and sometimes new abilities get unlocked on them when you do. (If the text is greyed out, it means it needs Enhancing to activate.)
@@SigurdThePink I didn't figure it out until mid-70s and endgame. It just completely slipped my mind. I think an earlier indication of just how many components you're going to be able to find and forcing you to upgrade a weapon once would go some way to making it a more transparent system.
@@demajen Like when I have the Se Watch Afterimage thing on, I go to places, and it ticks saying they are near.. and I go around in so many circles trying to find some. One where it's really annoying is the Blacksmith, I've gotten the chest up top but when it goes off where that chest is and I can't seem to go down under it or up higher, as if there was something hidden.
Yeah, it keeps on going doesn’t it. There were a couple of times I was just baffled that suddenly there was an entire new massive zone around the corner to explore.
Two types: big tree to big tree you get first time you reach resting town. Warp to any tree potions can be purchased for 150 currency a time from Alice in resting town.
I have looked into the rate at which you simultaneously play (often to 100% presumably) new releases and then produce maps (sometimes including hidden game files) and then record videos on all of this, all while tweeting vigorously. This is NOT a one-man operation. Who is helping you?
Hahah this is indeed a one-man operation: only time I get help is when I'm stuck on something or how something works, then I ask in a game's discord or, very occasionally, the devs themselves (on twitter or discord, usually). My way of working is decidedly haphazard and would probably cause anxiety for anyone who wanted to try and work with me on these things - especially as regards how I organise layers in Photoshop. As for the time, though, it should be noted that I'm an early-40s guy with a chronic back injury which means I can't do my 'real' job (English teacher/substitute teacher) more than 3 days a week (4 at a push) without crippling pain, so I get a lot of home time to work on other things like this :)
There are two locked doors: The upper one which counts clockwise, stand in front of it and wait 60 seconds for the door on the right and 120 seconds for the door on the left. For the lower one, wear the Twin's Left Ring (found in Holy Grounds) and the Twin's Right Ring (found in Silent Coast) at the same time and stand under the door until it opens.
@@demajen One more thing left in the dark area, the albedo tower, at the resting tree at the top. The clock is ringing and I don't know how to reach him

Was under the impression that HaND was a rogue like like Dead Cells rather than a metroidvania, so maps would never be the same twice? I did like the look of the game, though.
I’m very sorry, but at over 80meg I haven’t found a reliable way of opening large imagine files on my iPhone. I’m looking into what I can do for people who check maps on their phones, but it will probably mean a fair chunk of work my end - especially as regards keeping them updated - so please bear with my as I try to find a solution. 🙂
Hello. your map is WAY TOO BIG to open. my PC can't handle it lol 43,000x13,000 resolution is simply too much, my memory can't handle it. paint crashed, photoshop crashed, honeyview crashed. can you reupload it with jpg format maybe?
There are individual area maps now that you can download linked in pinned comment and description. Out of interest (I'm trying to collect data) how much RAM does your PC have? I'm trying to develop a longer term strategy for larger maps by understanding the pc specs who are having difficulty. Don't worry if you don't feel comfortable sharing, however :)

The fog thing is just a jokey fourthwall-breaking ending that gives you a cool outfit. Doesn't do anything else (but it is kinda cool).

Got a question,do i need to farm later on all weapons/equip/accessory or is it possible to buy some that u just get by "monster drops" ?
Some are just monster drops, but their drop rate is generally pretty high. There is gear you can wear that has rare drop rate bonuses too.

Bottom right past the tortoise? Or before it? There's a one-way breakable wall that you'll need to loop up and over through the Silent Coast to get there, and you'll need to downsmash if you haven't already got it.
@@demajen forest forgone that touches coast but both breakable walls break from the inside that I want to reach both on forgone and on coast I dont know where to downsmash I have the ability and in my version I can see some 'invisible' floor very close after breakable forgone wall Also in your version some plain walls act as spikes near giant earthworms ? Same area but to west 👈👈 The place I want to reach includes a Greatsword art a Geo Carapace and Halo Of Genesis I see from map that forgone wall is the exit but coast wall entry is also unbreakable Sorry for all that mess😇😇
@@penance8717 The downsmash ability is near you if you're at that border. From the confluence that isn't too far from the border you're trying to cross, head west and up a little to the Xenal Watcher fight where you can get the downsmash.
As for the plain walls acting as spikes, that doesn't sound right at all... What system are you playing on because that sounds bugged to me.
@@demajen Breakfloor ability I already have Do I use it from coast side I only see there a wall that must be hit from inside just after Halo afterimage suppose to be and I dont see any breakable floor I am playing on PS4 map surely buged Orange area from Forest forgone and upper Ice area You step on invisible floors and you pass through walls that do not dissapear but only around those 2 areas I suspect my breakable floor for Geo Carapace and Halo afterimage is just invisible to me My game Disc brand new and undamaged of course
Yeah that sounds super messed up. As far as I know, my maps are up to date for how the areas and barriers should work, so if the most recent version of Forest Foregone isn’t exactly as it is on my map, game is definitely bugged. If you have access to it, I recommend the Afterimage discord for asking about bugs. The devs are very active on there and have answered a lot of questions for me when I had them.
how do i upgrade weapons?
i keep finding balms, but i don't know how to use it
It’s an option on the Equipment screen called “enhance”. It doesn’t stand out enough, unfortunately. Every weapon can be upgraded like 3 times, and sometimes new abilities get unlocked on them when you do. (If the text is greyed out, it means it needs Enhancing to activate.)

@@SigurdThePink I didn't figure it out until mid-70s and endgame. It just completely slipped my mind. I think an earlier indication of just how many components you're going to be able to find and forcing you to upgrade a weapon once would go some way to making it a more transparent system.

@@demajen Like when I have the Se Watch Afterimage thing on, I go to places, and it ticks saying they are near.. and I go around in so many circles trying to find some. One where it's really annoying is the Blacksmith, I've gotten the chest up top but when it goes off where that chest is and I can't seem to go down under it or up higher, as if there was something hidden.
LOL.... nevermind found that one hiding next to the blacksmith >_
@@JamesDGoins Oh god yes, there are some chests that are JUST tucked away. The one in Madline's house in Town of the Exiled took me AGES to find!

Yeah, it keeps on going doesn’t it. There were a couple of times I was just baffled that suddenly there was an entire new massive zone around the corner to explore.

Two types: big tree to big tree you get first time you reach resting town. Warp to any tree potions can be purchased for 150 currency a time from Alice in resting town.

I have looked into the rate at which you simultaneously play (often to 100% presumably) new releases and then produce maps (sometimes including hidden game files) and then record videos on all of this, all while tweeting vigorously. This is NOT a one-man operation. Who is helping you?
Hahah this is indeed a one-man operation: only time I get help is when I'm stuck on something or how something works, then I ask in a game's discord or, very occasionally, the devs themselves (on twitter or discord, usually). My way of working is decidedly haphazard and would probably cause anxiety for anyone who wanted to try and work with me on these things - especially as regards how I organise layers in Photoshop.
As for the time, though, it should be noted that I'm an early-40s guy with a chronic back injury which means I can't do my 'real' job (English teacher/substitute teacher) more than 3 days a week (4 at a push) without crippling pain, so I get a lot of home time to work on other things like this :)
How to open the locked door at the clock..in holy ground
There are two locked doors:
The upper one which counts clockwise, stand in front of it and wait 60 seconds for the door on the right and 120 seconds for the door on the left.
For the lower one, wear the Twin's Left Ring (found in Holy Grounds) and the Twin's Right Ring (found in Silent Coast) at the same time and stand under the door until it opens.

Was under the impression that HaND was a rogue like like Dead Cells rather than a metroidvania, so maps would never be the same twice? I did like the look of the game, though.

I’m very sorry, but at over 80meg I haven’t found a reliable way of opening large imagine files on my iPhone. I’m looking into what I can do for people who check maps on their phones, but it will probably mean a fair chunk of work my end - especially as regards keeping them updated - so please bear with my as I try to find a solution. 🙂
Hello. your map is WAY TOO BIG to open. my PC can't handle it lol 43,000x13,000 resolution is simply too much, my memory can't handle it.
