Northern Woods is a homage and a cultural-historical consideration at the same time. The film portrays the German/Northern European forest and shows its development from primeval to intensively managed forest. It was once inhabited by wild animals such as wolves, bears, eagles, deer and musk ox. Its cultivation was carried out by Celts and Teutons. Today the forest is often a victim of environmental degradation and overexploitation.

This homage to the Northern Woods is both an homage and a cultural-historical consideration. The documentary portrays the German/NOrthern European Forest, showing its development from primeval to intensively managed forest.
It was once inhabited by wild animals like wolves, bears, eagles, deer, and musk ox - cultivated by the Celts and Teutons.
Today, the forest is becoming the sacrificial lamb o environmental degradation and exploitation. Our documentary introduces you to the myth and magic, and the conservationists trying to protect this cultural inheritance of nature.

This is a well done project. As a professional film and music director and producer, I can say the others saying the music is too loud are correct. Just fine tuning this down and bumping the mids on the vocal track slightly would do wonders for this film to really shine!
I've worked in the industry a bit. HOW do these endless audio issues get missed ? I've sat with my buddy and his laptop helping to dial in the final tracks.. It wasn't that hard. Probably ego I guess. Or deaf sound engineers.
Yes, I put the first down vote on this film. I was quite perturbed when I found myself repeatedly replaying to try to understand what was being narrated while it was overwhelmed by the volume of the music.
They could of just raised the level of the narrator. Sucks because this is a nice documentary

Agree, it's such a shame about the sound. Seems like a wonderful and informative piece but I had to turn it off because I simply couldn't hear the narrator.

the volume mix is a mess. music is too loud and narrator's voice is too low.
It's a decent video, but it could be a great video if the audio wasn't such a mess.

Really well done documentary with great nature pics and reconstruction of the past but music definitely too loud... I got great sensitive ears but too had trouble understanding narrator...

This is a good documentary but the music is too loud at times and you cannot hear the narrator. Lovely filming.

As others have said, it's very hard to hear the narration. However, it does make this a very soothing thing to watch while going to sleep.
I find the lack of being able to hear the narrator makes it harder for me to go to sleep to this video. It's amazing how terrible the audio is on such a high percentage of nature docs. I guess this is where sound engineers get their starts or something.

Great photography, but music was way to loud!
The music was unnecessary, you could have left the nature sounds afteral this is a nature documentary. I wanted to be taken away into nature but instead I heard a lot of music with a lot of trees. I couldn't get into it because of the music. A shame, too, because the visuals are stunning. Sadly couldn't finish watching it.

I like this but not only is the music too loud, some is really bad.
Great documentary, background music too high, hard to hear the introduction at times.
The music is set way too loud, louder than the narrator, so when you turn it up to hear him and it goes to music (not background) it blasts your ears. Terrible editing in that way.
