China doesn't have democracy, so no issues with land acquisition etc.
China have enormous economy to put in capital we don't have that much money.

As you mentioned correctly that in western nations everyone prefer travelling by public transport, few months back I was in Sydney, Australia, and all the people travelling by train were people working at very high posts, people wearing expensive designer bags and clothes but travelling by train instead of cars shows that they prefer only public transport as a mode of transport to work place. I wish this culture can be adapted here in India too, if the Modiji keep gifting India such miracles.
