Hi lwan! Have you ever had your home checked for black mold? Itchy eyes, feeling tired, hard time concentrating+++ Could be the cause. White vinegar at full strength in a spray bottle, Kills indoor mold! LOVED the video! Take care, your friend in Kansas City, Tom 😃♥️🌈🍀🎉♥️🇺🇸🌈🍀♥️🎉
Great video sweetheart so full of interest xx. Love that yellow shirt and what a bargain it was 💕xx. The cat shelf looks so nice against that dark wall. What a great find that metal container was !! can’t wait to see what you put in there …. You have been busy at home sweetheart looking so nice .. those self style tiles will look amazing in your bathroom 😍. Haha I remember that mirror a great diy 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻x hope you have a great week xx🌸💕
Hinoki wood is my all time favourite candle scent. I've bought so many of those tins over the years! Hinoki is a tree by the way, it's a japanese cypress.
The terrace is looking very summery & green! Another tip for potting up hydrangeas and other larger plants is mix some sandy loam in with your potting mix. Also putting a couple of used teabags in the pot too. That tree you were sitting underneath at the end is one of the worst for people with and without allergies. It’s called an Oriental Plain tree. The seed pods are horrendous!
Morning Mr C - Happy Sunday. I also took French at school and then ended up living in Germany for 6 years - I knew absolutely no German when I first arrived and by the time I left I was quite fluent. I haven't used it for nearly 20 years, but occasionally the German word for something pops into my head. One of my friends was also amazed as we were in a pub a few years back and a German couple were stood next to us, they were trying to think of the English word for something. I answered them in German and told them the word they were looking for. They said "Vielen Dank, Sie waren sehr hilfreich."
Sunday morning Mr C 👍☺️ roof garden is looking very green and lush. Mirror looks really nice . Think lots of different photos and pictures going down the stairs would look nice. Home is looking lovely.
Love that you are learning to speak German. My husbands father was in the Air Force and he received orders to go to Spang Dahlem Germany. In those days the whole family moved there too. They lived on an Air Force base and attended a school with American children and German children. All of the American students were required to learn German and all of the German students were required to learn English. They lived there for three years so, my husband can speak fluent German. We have our cell phones but we also have our house phone to so, when we get robo calls I just don’t answer them but, my husband will answer in German and it’s hilarious because we usually get Robo calls from places halfway across the world and he will answer the phone in German. It’s so funny because they go ballistic trying to figure out what he is saying and they hang up a few seconds later. We have been getting less and less Robo calls for years now which is really nice. It’s a very rough sounding language compared to French. Anything you say in French I think sounds beautiful. My niece speaks fluent French and I was kidding with her one day and said how do you say I have to use the restroom in French and even that sounded pretty. L O L. I hope you have a great day. Hugs from the southeast coast of Florida.😎🦩🌞🦩😎
I just like you to know how important you videos are to me. I look forward to watching all the people I follow on TH-cam. They are a lovely break from my stressful life. ❤
This week I really enjoyed your walk through the plant store. I like seeing little parts of your area. I live in Pennsylvania so seeing bits of another country is very nice.❤
My best guess is that the galvanized container was used as an outdoor patio table or storage stool. Holes in the bottom ensures water drainage. Perfect as a planter. ❤
Enjoyed the video very much , the home is looking great you have a good eye for things, the garden is flourishing lovely. You must be feeling proud of your efforts, keep it up love Christine xx
Wow bargain summery shirt Your roof garden looks lovely. We have lots of peonies in our garden but the wind always gets them, now I always cut them and put in vases really pretty flowers to enjoy indoors
Agree with looking in both mens and womens when charity shop hunting. I've picked up a number of pink sweaters in the mens department that were brand new, assuming probably gifts to a man that wouldn't be caught dead wearing pink! Love the little slate heart, that would be cute for the rooftop garden, you could write a different message on it regularly to see who noticed.
We just painted our top of banisters black, and looking very smart. One of our two kitties likes to balance on it too, she's fifteen months, and just discovered her voice, and makes her presence well known. I will be getting some of those sprays and creams to help with allergies, as the Poundland antihistamines work well when i get sensitive to the two cats we have. Amazing bargain with the shirt you found, and i love the gilet , it fits perfectly. Our Poundland wildflowers are growing really well too by the way 👕😽😽
love the mirror set up in the lounge, with new mantelpiece accessories!!! those gold metal tear drop tealight holders, nxt to the reed diffuser, are lush!! xx
Always so exciting to see what you’ve picked up dumpster diving or at the charity shop and car boot sales. Love how you put your finds to such lovely use!
I suffer from seasonal allergies and it’s not fun. We’ve recently purchased an air purifier for our condo, which has helped a lot. When the wind is blowing, as much as I’d like to have the windows open for the breeze, I know that it will bring in the dust and pollen, so during the spring and fall, I keep the windows closed and my air purifier going 24/7. Edited to add that when my eyes are really bad, I will take a Reactine, which also helps. I live in Canada and we’ve been suffering from the smoke from wildfires, which can exasperate the allergies, so keeping the windows closed, the air purifier and a Reactine has helped me live much more comfortably. This might be something you could try if it gets worse.
Yes I remember the straws full of sherbet and the flying saucers I liked the bubble gum called bazooka because it had a joke in it, we got them with our bus fare money so we had to walk home from school and all for the sake of a bubble gum! 😂 and I loved the sherbet fountain cos they had a liquorice straw. You can still get them but they’re not threepence anymore, you won’t know about threepenny bits you're not old enough, this was in the 60s. I’m 67. Love your vids! And love to the cats too my cat is a called marmalade. 🐈
You can use the lid underneath the Tim as a drip tray if you like or it would be lovely to do a DIY project like a punched tin picture or a little tray maybe.
Morning from Bristol your roof garden looks lovely I love the fact it looks full. Pumpkin and Mittens are so cute ❤ Wonderful video. Have a fabulous Sunday x
The Cheshire cheese pub is gorgeous I loved going there but that was in the 70s I worked outside temple underground station so it’s not far from there we would go there at lunch time, it will be different now but I loved it. And the sleeveless top you brought with the frayed edges that pattern is called “dog tooth cheque” love your vlogs! Glad you won the award for sort yourlife out! Love that too. You are such a lovely person. Give my love to mittens n pumpkin .
Morning Mr C - l'm LOVING my iced coffee atm - perfect on a warm summer day! That dogtooth gillet was fabulous! I recently bought a gorgeous beige sweatshirt style dress with a hood for £1 from CHSS charity shop in Glasgow, & l wear it a lot! The kitties are so grown up, & super playful! Have a lovely Sunday! 👌
I was busy with my granddaughter this past weekend so missed out on your post but finally getting caught up. Love your finds and cannot pic one fave. But have to say your shirt is very nice for summer. The cats babies are adorable and your roof garden is looking better this year than ever before. Suggestion on you watering… many times watering from the top dies not always reach the roots of our pot plants so I would invest it pot saucers so that water is able to water from the bottom up to the soul. I just recently heard this from a gardener. Watering from the top is good but unless we allow initial watering to soak then go back and add more so more water does deeper into the plants/soil the plants are not getting enough water. Iwan I hope this makes sense. I for one have checked my post and was surprised at how dry my soil was deeper into my pots after I thought I had added enough water. It’s made a big difference. Your roof garden gets much sun so you possibly need to water more in these hotter days. I remove the water saucers during late autumn so pots are not in sitting water when the rains come. Hope this helps. Love from Northern California ❤❤❤
A man after my own heart! NEVER pass up a bag of ribbon! Fabric ribbon looks SO much nicer on a gift than the fake stuff. Late spring, early summer is the height of garage/yard sales here in Ontario, Canada - the equivalent of your "car boot sales" Love your bargains!!
Always enjoyable Mr. C, I especially liked the home updates... Me, Melbourne Australia... autumn! Up the mountains this week buying bulbs and potting them!
@Mr Carrington as usual didn't disappoint! Toffee crumble was my favourite sweets, we always said it looks like cat food!🤣 lovely to see the kittens, we have recently got a ragdoll Lux, and she is so needy.
MUJI is brilliant for candles I love their water mint one, also their slippers made of material like tatami mats, they stay lovely and cool even in the summer.Saying that, I hit IKEA last Friday first time in ages and they got a new candle selection; the mint and cedar type is great, but the truffle is surely the one smelling like freshly cut grass!
Hi, take care with the Muji candles. Don’t burn them too close to a wall, they burn really sooty and can leave an awful black mark on the wall. I’ve learned this the hard way!
Good morning from The USA, specifically Chattanooga TN, it's only a couple of hours from Nashville which I know you visited to do a shoe a year or so ago. My husband and I love drinking our coffee and watching your channel on Sunday mornings.
Tree pollen been particularly bad especially in east south east of uk it was the cold wet start so sitting or walking under trees not good idea. There is no age limit to hay fever young or old it can just happen. I was affected as a teen then it eased off to come back with a vengeance & in autumn of life a nightmare allergy asthma 😤😤 I loved your shirt fabric you pick up GREAT shirts A tip for your hydrangea being high up on roof garden is a slow drip feed water bottle poke couple small holes in a bottled water bottle cap & fill it up daily especially during hot sunny days
Bargain of the year - the beautiful monitaly shirt! Like you I studied French in school, but not German, and as Germany is my holiday destination of choice I am keen to improve my German, so Rosetta Stone sounds ideal. Also like you I love co-op prawn sandwiches, but not that Prime drink which sounded awful. The kittens are so cute, I love watching them play.
I taught myself Dutch. Just got a course book, but now you have Google Translate, which is a game changer, as you can check your pronounceeation. I can get by with Dutch, which is all I needed xxx p.s. love the lemon shirt with leaves on it!
I love to collect usual containers for my garden l also like the occasional garden gnome ! The flower shop looked lovely it’s always important to have a stroll and a sit always good for mindfulness in a busy day and to take time to notice things I am trying to learn Spanish and find its best just before l go to sleep seems to go into my old brain better! Hoping to be able to order a cocktail and paella…. well it’s a start ! Always enjoy your videos 😊😊x
Loved the blog Mr C,the roof garden is looking geat, don't forget to keep watering iñ this hot weather as they are nearer the sun.have a lovely sunday with the kittens. ❤🐱❤🐱❤❤
Hi Mr C, yes I did french in school some things just stay with you don't they . I'm learning sign language at the moment which I'm picking up well .. good luck with German lessons . Loved your vlog buys etc co-op do some great deals have a great week xx ♥️
Yes a fever is terrible I’ve had it then you have a cold and working in the hotel it’s terrible. Yes I’ve tried that one putting up the nose but I don’t know if it works because I still get the hayfever and are used to have was the nasal spray that was quite good thank you for sharing that enjoyed watching next week. I’m off work so I’ll pop down to the car boot Sunday brilliant 🤩 😊👍
Love that galvanised container! It’s overcast here in Porthmouth today so I am happy I did my back garden and we had a BBQ yesterday also. Let it rain so I don’t not have to water later. Win,Win! 😀👍👍👍👍
I love the Houndtooth Design Vest made famous by Coco Channel and later by Christian Dior it could be either for men or women. That was an awesome purchase.
Morning a nice tree would look nice in your metal pot! Your hydrangeas looking good mines looking abit sad. Loved the lobster plate in the shop and the kittens soooo cute playing with there toysXxxxx
My Grandaughter is married to German man and they live in Cologne. I have been there many times and love it. Also their 2 daughters aged 6 and 3 are both fluent in in German and English. Amazing isn't it. Enjoy your day ❤
So, I watched this video last week and loved the part about the book of 111 pubs…since we are in London this week (came from Toronto) we decided to visit Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese for a drink and was not disappointed. I hope one day you get a chance to visit, too.
Yes I remember flying saucers. My favourite sweets were strawberry bonbons that you got in a little paper bag from the big jars behind the counter. Two ounces on most occasions or a ‘quarter’ if I’d acquired some extra cash from a visiting grandparent.
If you go to Germany, check out the island of Fohr in the North Sea. You get there by ferry and will be transported to the most beautiful little town on the beach!!! Def worth it!! ❤
The book about pubs looks interesting i can see a pub tour video with Luke coming in the near future. The roof garden is looking lovely, keeping everything in pots watered is a full time job in the summer.I remember flying saucer sweets but my favourite was and still is Parma Violets x x
Afternoon Iwan. Just Got Back From Ireland Had 5 Days There Lovely. Flew From Leeds To Dublin. Roof Garden Looks Lovely. It's Raining Here Thank goodness, We Need Some Rain, Hope Your Well, So Behind With Videos Beening Away. Lots To Catch Up In Enjoy your Weekend. Xx 😘😊
Morning Mr Carrington, thanks for sharing your day, they have lots of products for hayfever now which is good,as we have hayfever, kittens are so cute and roof top garden is looking beautiful,, have a great day x
Guten Morgen, ich lerne auch Deutsch. 😅 Good morning, I am also learning to speak German. 😁 Super great finds as always. I love the hallway with the cat shelf. 🐾🐈 The fur babies are adorable. I was picturing you lining the lovely metal container with black plastic, make holes in for drainage, and fill it with an array of herbs in summer. 🌱 I am English and live in N Germany. I had to smile when you said you are learning German. 😁👌 I go to an adult school and am learning to speak German. I can happily share some tips as German is a complicated language to learn due to the grammar. Along with your app, I can recommend using your computer and Google Translate. I type the German into Google translate to practice writing it and see the English translation. Or I type in English, and see how the sentence is translated into German. You can press the speaker button, and then hear the German being spoken and pronounced. In English we say: the car, the tree, the cat, etc. In German every Noun word is either masculine (der) feminine (die) feminine (das) neutral (die) plural der, die, das, die which is THE in English. For example: der Mann, die Männer. The man, the men. die Frau, die Frauen. die Katze, die Katzen. das Auto, die Autos. You can look for a German noun app online and a German verb app. These are free tools. Feel free to ask me any tips because I nearly ran away to the hills when I started learning German. 😂 I figured out ways to help myself and they really do help. Once you start to understand HOW the language is structured it helps. It's a lovely language to begin to speak and goes a long way when you are in Germany to show Germans that you are trying to speak their language. They know it is complicated. 😅 An app is a great idea. I wish you all a wonderful day. Ich wünsche euch allen einen wundervollen Tag. 🤗👍
I got a bottle of blue raspberry Prime from Sainsburys last week. They had a security guard stood alongside the display! Peonies look like dead sticks in the winter so don’t mistake it for being dead.
I definitely remember flying saucers and also sherbet lemons . I worked in a paper shop on weekends when I was about 17, not yesterday or even the day before. We still had the old bottles of sweets that you could come in and buy a couple of ounces from
Hi Iwan great vlog as always, love seeing what u got in the shops, awww mittens & pumpkin r so adorable they r so playful, yep that prime drink is still way overpriced here from 15 euro a bottle even more in some shops although it's slowly coming down in price it wouldn't b my cup of tea I prefer flavoured water, have a great weekend & week ahead lots of love 💕💕💕😘
Absolutely loved flying saucers, it was probably so sweet 😅 but my favourite sweets were cola bottles or sweet tobacco used to come in a pouch don’t do them now not so pc anymore😅
Love that you're learning a new language, good luck with it. A random suggestion has came to mind, Im not sure what everyone else thinks but I would love to see some different videos like cleaning motivation, explaining if you have a schedule eg planning daily tasks. I struggle cleaning / decluttering etc, I feel like I get overwhelmed so easily or / and I get bored and I also feel like I want to do something but my mind goes into overdrive. It would be good to see if you have any tips etc 😊
Hi 🙋♀️ Love the candles, I also recommend a lemon and lavender Yankee candle the scent is beautiful 😊 Loved the Emma Bridgewater tray also the hay fever remedies too thank you for sharing that. A few of the sweets I remember from my childhood are - sherbet fountains, not quite the same now! And cola cubes use to cut your tongue and roof of your mouth with the sharp corners once you’d sucked them 😂
Hi Mr. C! Interesting what scents you got in that Japanese inspired fragrance package. Sounds like they smell fresh & amazing! I've never seen an allergy nose balm before. Hope it helped with your hay fever. The co-op shop was fun & I enjoyed seeing what products are sold in your stores. Thanks for taking us along as always. Much love from Fort Worth, Texas! 🤠🌷🌞
I liked Mo-Joes and Black Cat Gum as a kid. I also liked the sherbet powder with licorice straw. Luv that your not afraid to wear colours in your clothing. You have great style. Have a super Sunday Ewan 🙂🇨🇦

Great haul. Be very careful with scents and oils in burners or reed difusers with the kitties. Some can be toxic.

My husband is a German teacher of 40 years he can teach anyone he’s good fun too so he will give you a free lesson see how you feel x
Use the aluminum lid as a tray underneath the container to catch the water.😊
Your cats do make me smile. Thank you for being informative and interesting. Good luck with German I gave up. Best wishes Sharon and Rosie(cat).x

Love that galvanised container! It’s overcast here in Porthmouth today so I am happy I did my back garden and we had a BBQ yesterday also. Let it rain so I don’t not have to water later. Win,Win! 😀👍👍👍👍

So, I watched this video last week and loved the part about the book of 111 pubs…since we are in London this week (came from Toronto) we decided to visit Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese for a drink and was not disappointed. I hope one day you get a chance to visit, too.
Locally (to your specific area) produced honey can really help with seasonal allergies to pollen 🐝 🐝 🐝
Yes I remember flying saucers. My favourite sweets were strawberry bonbons that you got in a little paper bag from the big jars behind the counter. Two ounces on most occasions or a ‘quarter’ if I’d acquired some extra cash from a visiting grandparent.

Guten Morgen, ich lerne auch Deutsch. 😅 Good morning, I am also learning to speak German. 😁 Super great finds as always. I love the hallway with the cat shelf. 🐾🐈
The fur babies are adorable.
I was picturing you lining the lovely metal container with black plastic, make holes in for drainage, and fill it with an array of herbs in summer. 🌱
I am English and live in N Germany. I had to smile when you said you are learning German. 😁👌 I go to an adult school and am learning to speak German. I can happily share some tips as German is a complicated language to learn due to the grammar.
Along with your app,
I can recommend using your computer and Google Translate.
I type the German into Google translate to practice writing it and see the English translation.
Or I type in English, and see how the sentence is translated into German.
You can press the speaker button, and then hear the German being spoken and pronounced.
In English we say: the car, the tree, the cat, etc.
In German every Noun word is either masculine (der) feminine (die) feminine (das) neutral
(die) plural
der, die, das, die which is THE in English.
For example:
der Mann, die Männer.
The man, the men.
die Frau, die Frauen.
die Katze, die Katzen.
das Auto, die Autos.
You can look for a German noun app online and a German verb app. These are free tools.
Feel free to ask me any tips because I nearly ran away to the hills when I started learning German. 😂
I figured out ways to help myself and they really do help. Once you start to understand HOW the language is structured it helps.
It's a lovely language to begin to speak and goes a long way when you are in Germany to show Germans that you are trying to speak their language. They know it is complicated. 😅
An app is a great idea.

Use the planter lid underneath like a saucer.
Hi 🙋♀️ Love the candles, I also recommend a lemon and lavender Yankee candle the scent is beautiful 😊
Loved the Emma Bridgewater tray also the hay fever remedies too thank you for sharing that.
