One thing people look forward to in the season 3 meta thing or something like that is the summer event. This season 3, wrecked, was pretty decent and still is, but now that we see what the summer event is like, it kind of killed some of the hype. They for sure need to add some more. It would be a good time for the fall guys stuff to come out. Maybe that’s the plan.

i miss when the holiday events had heart in them like for last winterfest the cabin didnt even come back we just got a cheap quest tab and for fortnitemares was so damn forgettable i forgot what they did for it and had to look it uo it was just a bunch of cheap unvaults and this summer is an example of the dwindling attention to holiday events
Honestly i cant even bother to play anymore, these events used to be the only reason to play in the in-betweens but i just dont care anymore because of how they split it between all the modes
I think the reason why epic been sucking lately is because they lost a lot of money cause remember in 2023 they had a bunch of law suit and teaming up with all those other companies so that’s why the delete the rarity and events and story line,.

I honestly don't think it's as black and white as "casual and competitive", I feel around 60% of Fortnite's players rest in that gray area in between. Meaning they're not sweats but they aren't just playing to goof around either. Anyone who plays I'm sure wants to win and enjoy winning with some level of competition, but the problem with the season is that during it's launch it was VERY unbalanced to the point where even "casual" players were pretty much being cheated regardless of how they play (the numbers reflect that). The "nerfs" were pretty much an attempt to balance the game but by then the season was too far gone. (Again the player count reflects that). Regardless if your casual or competitive or in between (which is were most players sit) nobody likes being cheated, which is why it hurt this game so much.

If they released reload, these summer quests, and pirates at the same time it would be the best summer event ever. They hey just split it up by 3 weeks so it seems tiny. I really wish they would make these yearly evenets big again. I feel like they did this year it just got split up too much without any real announcements.
That's what I've been trying to say! Splitting up events is what keeps people coming back. I only played three days during last year's summer event, but if they drip feed the content, I get excited and come back more!
People pretend the drip is bad, but like, a whole day of gaming can be devoted to toying with a couple little ideas and new things added, but if you add too much at once, people just freak out and overindulge, and then pretend that nothing is new a few days later.

The wanderer is probably a hidden skin related to the storyline that will be revealed. The main body could be anything and the concept showed a weird pattern for arms.
One of the best summer events imo was when they put the giant beach balls on the map! They had so many challenges for the summer events now it’s just so blah! No more live events, no more fun and different challenges just more of the same ole same ole! 🙄

I have been playing ranked from the second this update dropped and its honestly the most fun ive had all season, the weapon pool and map are both so fucking good its amazing to me how much cars fucked it up, glad to be able to experience it like its meant to be

The only thing I like in this summer update is the glider since I never had enough v bucks for the original so this is good for it but the rest is terrible

Alright don’t kill me, but IMO… people are kinda being overdramatic. Summer events have never been game changing, sure it’s a shame this one isn’t as good, but think about it this way. We JUST got Fortnite Reload, a huge new mode. Yes it released a couple weeks back, but that was a huge update, that was probably where all their dev materials were going. On top of that we’re getting the Pirates event in a couple weeks, and if it’s anything like the Avatar event, then it should be a banger. And then on top of that, Fortnite finally did what we’ve been begging them to and separated the casual and competitive loot pools. I’m sorry guys, but some of you need to take a chill pill.

Vehicles vaulted... only in competitive. That sucks. I haven't been playing BR this season cuz the vehicles make it so annoying, and as a mobile player they're really hard to use :(

Unfortunately it's not an event. Kill quests to get a wrap, a reskinned glider, and a back bling is far from an event. The only summer skins are in the shop and they're ones from the actual good Summer events. The least they could have done was add some flair to the beaches. I also play World of Warcraft and they kinda went all out this year, as a hunter I got a "wrap" for my guns that not only makes it look like a Super Soaker, but my gun shots are actually water animations and sounds.

See I feel like Reload and Pirates of the Caribbean were supposed to release with the Summer event but Reload released mosg likely sooner causing the Pirates of the Caribbean event to get pushed back most likely the Summer event lasts till the end of the season which is very different for a Summer event and just a holiday event in general and the Summer event will be getting Pirates of the Caribbean the Summer event may be lackluster and bad right now but Reload and Pirates of the Caribbean makes up for it I wonder if there will be a keyart for the Summer event once Pirates of the Caribbean is out showing new Summer skins and Pirates of the Caribbean and Reload

Personally this is my favorite one that I've played, it had everything I wanted from a post-apocalyptic themed season (except for a lack of a mad max crossover) with car focused gameplay, music I enjoy as the focus instead of pop or rap, skins that fit the season, a desert biome, good poi's, overall great season.

No one cares about these cosmetics/collabs or the desperate usage of ‘OG’ gamemodes anymore. Anything remotely interesting about this season has been nerfed to the ground. First they destroy Rocket League, and now there’s not much to look forward to in this game either. Good job Epic Games 🎉

This season was great at the start, everyone ruined it. Including Epic.
How? They added MANY new and novel/fun items guns. And they balanced it much better with cars unfortunately for me still a huge part of every game but I actually could play the game now and not be bored put of my mind and when i get bored or even before, i go play with the better feeling mode in replay with the hitscan gunplay combined with modern fort movement and some great fun pois. Some of my favs but id love shify shaft to pop in there//rant
@completelytransparent6320 I'm talking about everything else. Comp players whinging and whining until they get it their own way. My personal experience as well as almost every other casual player was that this season was a breath of fresh air, the cars were fun, the mods were great, and I actually played it unlike now. Reload is fun, don't get me wrong, but the fact that they still take away the cars and mods from normal BR pisses me off, because if you want 'back to basics Fortnite' or whatever, then go play reload. The normal gameplay was fine and shouldn't have been changed.
