Am going through high anxiety at the moment so I am so relieved to have stumbled across Dr Julie, who is helping me to see through this and my fears...I have decided to come off anti-depressants and to try and do the things she says as well as facing my fears, not trying to avoid them. I don't recommend anti-depressants if you can possibly work through your problems yourself....I have had bad reactions with these, but maybe some people need them and they work for them, but I don't enjoy the side effects at all. So, thank you Dr Julie for helping me through the withdrawal symptoms and seeing them for what they are. ❤

Wow this is like years of professional therapy sessions squeezed into one video. Very very well outlined and followed by ready made solutions. Thank you, I've been taking notes 😉

Thank you for all of this (yes, there is so much very, very valuable content). Thank you for making the statemen "...most people don't get to choose their stress..." This is the new "...just pull yourself up by your bootstraps.." shamer idea. The self-condemning idea that we have control & are just being a lazy wimp. 5 things check-in list is easy to do big tool. + Doing 'little release valves' (regular replenishment). Thanks for choosing, tangibly efforting & making a difference. (Ft. Worth)

I’ve been through some tough anxiety. I want to let people know it does get better. It does get better.
Btw. It really bothers me when people colour coordinate books on bookshelves. I don’t know why lol😂

Thanks a lot, Dr Julie Smith for your very helpful book. I'm in the middle of it. In chapter 8 you pointed out the urges and how we can do opposit them. I have a question; what is the difference between temptations and urges? thanks if you make me clear about them.

How did i end up here, well, I guess YT algorithm, and life had something to tell me…
[English is not my first language, it went from my mind onto the page, while listening, kept it this way]
What do i really have control of in my life ?
5 Aspects you have control of and can make changes :
    • Nutrition
    • Exercise
    • Sleep
    • Routine
    • Social connections
I'll add this to the list, from personal experiences :
    - Meditation - [Breathing exercise, Mindfulness, Visualization, Focus …]
    - Passions - [What are you naturally passionate about, learn about it and just do it, join a club … ]
    - Writing - [Can be 30 minutes a day] … [Lots of stuff on the Internet regarding this … ]
    - Just write down what comes to your mind
    - Write about what your perfect day would look like
    - What the better version of yourself would look like in 5 years
    - Writing helps to put your mind in order, thought processes, patterns, behaviors, that needs to change to avoid negative feedback loop, being stuck
    - Therapy - [Yes, it’s expensive, no way around it, plus, not easy to find a good fit, also]
    - Art - Engage with the creative part
    - Let it be music, painting, photography, lots of stuff related to arts that you can learn about
    - Manage your expectations, recognize when you’ve entered Disney Land, then act upon it
    - Therapy
Anxiety - Can’t get away from ... Never …. That is plain and simple
    • Reframing your perspectives, experiences, recognize an opportunity to grow [Yes, hard as hell]
    • Recognize the spectrum [Frequency + Amplitude = May seek professional help]
    • You may escape from it when necessary [Be careful, won’t serves you in the long run, most of the time]
    • Be aware, mindful, acknowledge the information in the moment, body, mind, then act upon it for the long run, you may be surprise what comes out of it [Yes, takes time, practice, and it’s hard as hell]
Fear - Face to face with it
    • Face it, step by step, small steps at a time
    • Voluntarily put yourself in those situations, one step at a time
    • Allow your body to feel it, just on the edge, before you can no longer handle it
    • Repeat the process, your body and mind will gradually, naturally, get in the comfort zone, in some ways
    • Keep going, yes, that is hard as hell and painful, what do you expect
    Stress
    • Some stress that are outside of your control, in a way
    ◦ Paying bills …
    ◦ Kids responsibilities …
    ◦ Sudden health issue …
    ◦ That goes back to the 5 aspects that you can make changes about
    ◦ Be aware of it, breathe, time after time, it’s not permanent, nothing is
    ◦ Step by step, you’ll “engage” with it, in your favor
    ◦ My 2 cents, Meditation
    • Let’s call it stress, for the rest
    ◦ Goes back to Reframing your perspectives, experiences, recognize an opportunity to grow [Yes, hard as hell]
    ◦ Again, 5 aspects you can change, to better handle it
    ◦ Recognize it, turn it to your advantage
    ◦ Meditation
    ◦ Seek professional help
Emotions - [In some culture, they don’t exist, they are called affects … ]
    • They are to be welcome and experienced, acknowledged, not constrained
    • Normal to feel different emotions, life is not always sunshine and rainbows
    • It will eventually take the natural course of things, once you allow to grow, changes [Hard as hell]
    • Nothing is permanent in this world, time will pass, it is hard as hell, what do you expect
    • Recognize your thought patterns - make small changes to your advantage, grow [Writing helps a lot]
    • Seek professional help
    • Just my 2 cents, Sometimes rationality is better than emotions, not easy to deal with, facts
    • Just my 2 cents, Don’t act upon emotions in critical situations, assess, analyse, what are the facts [Sometimes you just don’t have the time, instinct kicks in]
