I’ve been playing the guitar since I was 3 years old. I’m now 50. Grew up in a musical family …. I’ve heard most of the greats and played with quite a few. No one comes close to birelli. Truly one of the best guitarists I’ve heard. He also plays the base and the violin. Truly a savant at the guitar. Guy plays jazz rock blues gypsy jazz. Metal and even classical. Musicians like birelli come along once in a lifetime.
Nooway! Bireli: You are truly the greatest! I LOVE your phrasing and timing... (The fact that its probably mostly improvised makes it even greater) Wonderful!
I am 76 and in love with them all. Tonight, 1/9/18, I am playing this countless times. This is taking me through an evening of difficult writing and Power Point Project having to make a new Power Point from three other lengthy ones with mostly the same photos all in different order and with varying text---plus I have to write a narrative for the new one. Extraordinary musicians. I love all those who play with Bireli in other concerts as well. I am so psyched to have discovered them a few months back. My brain, my psyche loves them. I also see that although I replayed it countless times it only shows as 1 view!!! I'll look tomorrow to see if the number has changed. I am typing, listening and feeling like I am playing the piano! I replayed it consistently from about 4pm to 11:58pm. Feeling normal again. Thank-you, Spirit!!
Astonishing chops! What glorious tone and textures - and truly unpredictable explorations on the frets. Mostly importantly, he both subtle and dynamic, as appropriate - never overplays. Lagrene's playing beautifully embellishes the overall arrangement and soundscape.
PLizz guys don't get too personal,, The guy get JUST SIX strings ok? It's easier...just use some tunner... BTW, there are two guitarrists playing 'mismatching' chords all night long... REHEARSAL,( like the pros...)

Bireli never ceases to amaze me. He has a very talented group also, but Bireli is absolutely insane.

No other guitarist can make me cry with almost every solo...
absolutely amazing even his comping is no human!
What a perfect piece of music! Am sitting here on a snowy morning with a steaming hot cup of Bewleys, groovin' ...
Things like that make me feel there's hope for mankind in this world...
Great song!!
freaking unbelievable
Beautiful! What a talent. I wish he would explore bossa nova/Samba/Brazil. That would be something to hear.
Love this
@taisei623
written by Sacha Distel, french crooner and guitarist, price Django Reinhart in his early years

Pretty
wow, at last someone made me use that word: Lamer.
@CroissantOrange True story.
@marcosromerapiano Yeah, pretty "mismatching" for your generic elevator bossa nova ears.

Thats not so hard I can play like that, when I'm dreaming.
Ok, what about tunning before performing??
And why make 7th AND major 7th at 2:41? Is that any new way to reharmonize?
