    Im DEP.. I take my PAST in the AM.. when I pass.. I ship March 1 for basic! I’m so ready to start this journey !!

      Steven, you can go by your local library or there are may different websites with Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) study material. We cannot endorse any study material or products. Good luck and study hard! For reference only; ASVAB TEST TIPS: www.officialasvab.com/applicants/sample-questions/
      To prepare for Pararescue suggest being able to qualify for the PAST be safely practicing it.
      Physical Aptitude Stamina Test (PAST) Requirements:
      25m Under-water swim #1
      25m Under-water Swim #2
      500m Surface Swim (minimum) 12:30 (any swim stroke except for backstroke)
      1.5 mile run (minimum times) 10:20
      Pull-ups 8 minimum within 2 minutes
      Sit-ups 50 minimum within 2 minutes
      Push-ups 40 minimum within 2 minutes
      Limited rest in between intervals
      Please consult your doctor or health care professional before performing or exercising these technique(s).

    Contracting for SERE. If I graduate from the pipeline, upgrade training, etc. how does the schedule for a SERE specialist look like? Im hoping to do online schooling while in active duty to get a bachelor’s, that way I can apply for OCS and possibly cross-train into TACP as an officer.

    I have tinnitus in my right ear and have trouble passing a hearing test. Are there hearing waivers granted if I desire to go the PJ route?

      This could potentially be medically disqualifying. However, the doctor at the Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) makes that determination. Your local recruiter can have your medical records for this condition prescreened by the doctor at MEPS for a preliminary ruling in your situation. It is routine during the screening process that all applicants are asked in-depth questions about their medical history. Just like other medical matters such as broken bones or asthma, we would request medical paperwork for the Chief Medical Officer to review for a determination.

      I’m in a AFROTC program out of Las Vegas, rn it’s pretty difficult to get selected but AFROTC is the easiest way to become an officer.

      Santiago, Airman may apply to cross train into a different career 13 months prior to the end of their enlistment provided they are qualified and will reenlist. The Air Force does not cross train/retrain an Airman unless that Airman reenlists.
      Sometimes your career field manager might let you apply early depending on current manning levels.

    I’m currently a crew chief and I’m 30 can I still cross train at the end of my 4.5 year remaining contract into PJ ? My pt score has been an 89 at it’s worst.. thanks in advance

    I’m interested in becoming a CSAR Helicopter Pilot. Currently a Jr in highschool and aiming for rotc for college then go in as an officer and get Pilot training and do that. Any advice?

      I’d say I am pretty fit. I do cross country and stay in top tier shape year round. Eye sight to my knowledge is pretty good.

    Was talking to a recruiter about going PJ. Because I'm getting my GED is it true I also need to get 15 college credits? If so is their any specific classes I could take to help along my career?

      I joined through a special ops recruiter to do eod with just a GED and they accepted it so you should be good, I think it’s just some jobs in the Air Force that have the credit requirement with GED

      Swim, ruck, run, and calisthenics to burn out for endurance.
      Lift for strength so you can haul loads over distance. This includes core development.
      Do yoga to stay durable.
      Don't do the minimum standard. Aim for maxing everything and beyond.
      Work on your mental game.
      Dont quit.

    Hello I'm a navy reservist. With 15 months left on my contract and looking to do an interservice transfer into the air force for combat controller? Does the limited capacity of accepting prior service/interservice transfer apply to all career fields including special warfare or is special warfare excluded from the limit slots the air force can take

      The primary mission for EOD is supporting aircraft/airfield so it would be unlikely for it to be pulled away from Civil Engineering anytime soon

      @@DJ-zb8bb I agree. My dad was AF EOD, me and him talk about how far the AF side of EOD has come and potentially the future of it's capabilities. Though like you said there capabilities are geared towards a combat support role with aircraft/airfields making sure they can safely operate. I just wanted to get something from the source on the matter. 💯👌🏻

      @@ernestocontreras7626 😂😂😂 okay buddy. There's a very high attrition rate my guy. Not just for PJ, any special ops job. Your not smart if you don't have a back up plan just in case. Obviously the goal is spec ops. You can be ruled out of spec ops for a number of reasons.

      If you wash out you will most likely go to security forces, where you can go DAGRE and will be afsoc and roll with Pjs, seals and all the other SF

      @@brettanderson2178 Your right bro but tbh I feel like if your going PJ...Go in head strong...The people that go in with a Backup plan most likely aren’t going to make it because I feel like people don’t really know how tough the pipeline is mentally... I was supposed to go in Pj and I’m going to wait cuz I know I’m not physically and mentally ready ( Mind you I am in great shape ) Lol but I’m going Special Missions Aviator and I’m definitely going Pj later around when I’m 26 28 only for a couple years...     You have to be wanted when you get into a team when, you are available + cleared Hot 🔥 to die or have LIFE... AS A CCT WAS AVAILABLE AT TIMES WHEN LIFE WAS BEING LOST; WHILE IN THEATRE + was told i was not needed even though HEAVENLY FATHER HAD ME THERE AND RDY. Not sure that is the kind of Leadership i would want to lead others unto. Personally i would rather just pray to be in the ARMY OF GOD THE LORD OF HOST INSTEAD, WHERE THE LEADERSHIP WILL NEVER FAIL.

      You can have one career then near the end of your enlistment apply for retraining into another. So you can start out as a fire protection then after 33 months apply to be retrained into PJ
