    I remember my Dad plowing in the fall for a month straight with a JD unstyled B and 2-14's.
    He was worn out every evening after a day of riding that rig.
    The equipment the farmers run now you could operate in your Sunday clothes and never get them dirty plus you'd have to have the stereo up loud so you don't fall asleep.

    • @bigtractorpower
      @bigtractorpower  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In Western Kentucky the tractors are in the field almost all year. With the Wheat and double crop beans it’s all about running wide and fast. The time line to plant corn and get it harvested to make way for the wheat and then harvest the wheat get the beans planted right behind the combines seed allot of 60ft implements here. Then with all the field work there is allot of compaction so deep tillage is needed after double crop beans so the big tractors are needed as well. Most of the farm’s in WKY run the big tractors to get across the acres quick.

    • @scottpykare801

      Tractor manufacturers have been putting Cummins, Caterpillar, Detroit Diesel, and Perkins engines in their tractors for decades. Other companies specialize in repowering tractors with different engines. Some farmers just need more power to get big jobs done on their farms.
