    What would you do if you wanted the cell to automatically calculate this time difference; but when the cell is empty you do not want there to be any error message in the cell. So the formula is their and automatically calculates time upon entry of data.

For example, how would I make an excel table that calculates the amount of time that has elapsed between two times like these: Time 1 (00:00:15:00) and Time 2 (00:00:16:15) . The same technique should work, however, you need to use proper formatting. Kindly use the format as [h]:mm:ss.000 To apply the stated format, please press CTRL+1 on your keyboard and select Custom from your left side panel and enter the value from in type field. How to calculate the difference between 2 date/time ranges in business days?
    For example, cell A2: 07-Jul-23 18:00hrs and B2: 09-Jul-23 10:00hrs
    The result in C2 should reflect "00 Days 06 Hours" since Saturday and Sunday must be completely excluded in the calculation.
    I tried all possible options including chat GPT but failed

    • @Syedhussainipage
      @Syedhussainipage  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can try nesting it under IF function in a way that if the cell is blank, do nothing else calculate the time difference in Excel.
      Let me know if this helps.

      You need to keep the results cell in the same format and use the Average function to draw the average of the time.

      @@Syedhussainipage Thank you for your reply! When I apply the formula =(xx - xx) * 1440 to my time frame, it comes back with 00:00. My times are formulated to hh:mm.
      I work in food manufacturing and the operators are not calculating regrind the same way each time, as they should be, so I want to create an Excel calculator for them. They would input the time frame and get the correct minutes back that they would use to calculate the regrind. The shifts are 12hrs (0700-1900) and (1900 to 0700).

I want to calculate the minutes between press start to time product was called good. i.e..operators would enter the press start 07:22 to good product 08:01. When I use your formula (08:01-07:22)*1440 it returns an answer of 0:00. It should say 0:39 min.

      @@anglegend1970 it is not a valid date format in Excel since dot separators are invalid. If it is not a date, then it's a simple text to excel and hence the #value! error. Try SUBSTITUTE(Cell reference where the Date and Time are mentioned, ".", "/") and then do the difference of time.
