I believe French fries were coined by US GIs in WW1 because people in south of Belgium speak French vs northern where Flemish is spoken. I’m starting my worldwide travel adventures and appreciate your channel!
If you're OK to hire a car for a day I'd suggest a visit to Les-Baux-de-Provence, a semi-ruined historic village with great views. BTW make sure you don't overstay the 90 day Schengen limit. At one point you said something about EU but the EU and Schengen are not the same.
Thanks for the tip. Perhaps when we find ourselves back in the area we can explore the area more. We're very careful not to go past the Schengen time limit. We're in Romania now and actually had time to spare. Very soon soon we'll be off to SE Asia for the winter. But first a quick visit to Germany.
