      Haha same!! I know he's had a hard time separating it from Lord of the Rings. Which is fair and he's trying. I still wouldn't call this a phenomenal show. But I enjoy alot of things when I watch it.

    Where are people getting the idea that the Harfoots (or other hobbit ancestors) didn't exist at this time? The prologue to LotR explicitly says that the origin of the hobbits goes back to the Elder Days, which means before the end of the *first* age; they simply do not appear in written history until they migrate into Eriador in the third age. It's explicitly stated that not even the hobbits at that time know much about their prior history.

    There is no 5 armys in the book and orcs and goblins In the book can't be the sun long

    Oh, and you do know that the whole "you are Isildur's heir, not Isildur himself" plotline from rhe movies is strictly an invention of the movie writers, and represents a radical change to Aragorn's characterization from the books, yes?

      Thank you because also I don't remember lol, I read the books sooooo long ago. What I DO remember is Eowyn and Faramirs fantastic relationship.
