It would be interesting to compare the result of this to doing the same with Meshroom, whicf is not only free, but doesn't have that 70 photograph limit for building meshes.
I agree. I think they are planning to increase it upto 200 photos
In which folder do I find the exported formats? I have this app installed and I can't find its folder
Noice! I use a different app but it's good to have options. Question, can't we just take a video, process that video into pngs and send those to meshroom, or is it better to take manual pictures? I rarely do photoscans because I can't really process them

Sure you can start from video, but unless you record it in an uncompressed format (generally a feature only found in professional cameras) you'll be compressing the images even further and losing resolution (an probably dynamic range)...
yeah you can, but the issue is that with video you will get the motion blur. I know that Ian hubert does this, but he has switch to photos now

I have taken a picture and exported as an obj. however when I download it I have 6 options. a mtl file a jpg and obj file for high poly and the low poly. when I import into blender it shows the model perfectly except it has none of the colors and textures. any idea what I am doing wrong? Thank you for this.
ok i figured it out. i did not zip the original file and import the obj after that. i only went into folder and grabbed obj. file lol. ok thank you
@@wildmillardz8934 I know this is a late responce. I just came across this video. Im trying the app. I took the photos but it just shows Queuing. Do I have to log onto an account on a website to download the files? Or do I download them back onto the cell phone then pull then onto my machine? Like does it take forever to Que? Kinda confused on that lol.

The 70 photo limit is for the free version, my pro version has a limit of 200 photos
... and it still sucks. I have tried dozens of models and none of them scanned into something usable.
