A few years ago I worked with a US transcription company and spent about 20 hours a week doing transcription. It worked out to $2 per hour. I worked with the company for about 6 weeks before giving up on the poor returns. When I brought it up in the group chat, I was advised that freelancers shouldn't focus on how much money they are making. Ha!
Not meaning to be negative but I highly doubt the vast majority of people will earn $950 per week doing this. This is $3800 per month. Minimum wage jobs that are dime a dozen don't even pay this much. If this was the case, everybody would be doing it considering the freedoms of working from home. This is likely like those paid surveys where you get paid like $1.50 per survey but each survey takes like 1+ hours to complete.
Those surveys also don't work for most people. I've tried several of the ones people recommend whether in person or threw YT and 90% of them pay 0.1-0.5 USD / cents. And then you stuck in a constant " unfortunately you do not qualify for this survey" loop. I've spent more hours trying to find a survey a qualify for than being able to do one. I know people who have friends that say they make thousands per week doing them but after trying many myself I kinda doubt that.

I always take the time to say thank you because such comments are not very easy to come by on this TH-cam channel. One thing I've noticed with my channel is I put a lot of effort into my content but it will never be enough. Most of the comments are either negative or asking for something more which is okay but the positive comments motivate me more. So please don't have that mindset or attitude of favoritism, the comments I reply to have nothing to do with color. I am really hoping that your info with transcription is a lot better than the ones I have viewed so far. I have been trying to get a no prior experience remote job doing this, and have been accepted by a few sites; however they either have no work for me OR wont fully certify me and let me start working some jobs. I even have the foot pedal and everything by now. Here's hoping that your info is a lot more helpful. If it is I will sub to you for it.
A 10-minute audio takes about 20-30 minutes to type, so you end up working more than an hour, probably 4 hours total for an hour audio/video that is when the audio is clear.

In the USA, I just found a similar remote job. $.80 per minute. Start with 15 and once you get used to it, you can grow. They can Zelle you your money or send checks and another option. Can’t remember. I found it on indeed. It’s bilangual. You get paid extra if you know another language, so trilingual or more. It’s called Translations LLC I think.

If your jobs are coming via email, you could type on your phone but if the company has a platform where you claim and work on files, a computer will most likely be mandatory.

To get full knowledge in the transcript field. There are also other international courses. Then I set up a pay pay account. Then I looked for low paying transcript assignments, this to attain experience. One grows with education and realistic low entry to get experience. I am from a school of thought that hard work pays. Good Day. I will share my experience with you. I did an online course on transcription a company UDemy. It's an online course for several hours. To get full knowledge in the transcript field. There are also other international courses. Then I set up a pay pay account. Then I looked for low paying transcript assignments, this to attain experience. One grows with education and realistic low entry to get experience. I am from a school of thought that hard work pays. The idea of getting money whilst sleeping sounds frightening to me. I want to work for my money. I pray the litte info offers you some direction. Also seek out the young ladies email and ask her guidance. I send you all God's Intelligence for you to succeed. Halima

Some like Express Scribe need to be paid for while ListenNWrite is completely free. For a
beginner, I recommend ListenNWrite.
