So really, can you work on SSDI for 8 years if you stay under the SGA limits? The Trial Work Period is 9 months, but you can stretch that over 5 years. Then you can do the Extended period of eligibility for 3 years, which is 8 yeas total. But if you do the 9 months straight and then get the extended, that is 3 years and 9 months right? Question is...how can you get the 9 months and the 3 years without losing the benefits? Just stay under the SGA amount each month?
doesn't make sense -- to be on SSDI in the first place, you must have proven incapacity to work and yet, Social Security Administration entices you to get back into the workforce?
Working in a limited capacity due to a person's level of disability. It's healthier to not sit at home every single day. The reasoning is being recognized so, work one or two shifts a week, no more full-time. As people get older, they can face age discrimination in the workplace, not to mention it may cost the employer a higher insurance premium if they hire people of a certain age and older. It puts people in a bind that they did not create, and that's not fair.
That correct but dvr told me they can only help find work so they will take off on depend on ssdib
Did video only showed up in Idaho or just around the state? Oregon
That sounds too good to be true. I have heard that SSDI cuts your check when you work period.
Thanks.
Not true and SSDI can cut you off even if you don’t work.
@@GodisAgapelove4172 You are telling me SSDI don't limit your income of 1200 dollars if you get a job.
@@wilburmcbride8096 No only when you go over the amount they tell you that you can earn.
As long as it's under the SGA they don't touch your check
