It was an interesting video, the one with a photo every day, a cool concept, a visual commentary on the human condition in relation to time. I watched it 3-4 times. But I listened to this song more than 1000 times. I find it difficult to express in words why I love this piece so much, without sounding cheap or superfluous. There's something motivational, and inspirational about it: A bit moody, cheerful and hopeful in medium high notes, melancholic and introspective in that high notes segment, sober and serious in low notes, but overall it has a melodic theme that expresses motion, progress, moving forward. I am a big fan of Philip Glass and his minimalism, and I am sure that Carly also is, because even though this piece has a slightly different composition style, it has the same dynamism where repetition with small and smooth variations is an asset in constructing the mood and the theme.
Yea, I remembered it. That's gotta be at least ten years ago or more, and then NBA adapted it for a while for promotion. This piece stuck in me and took me years to find it.

This has been my most favorite piano composition since I first hear it the fall of 2007 (a part of Noah's "Everyday" photo montage). One day I will put this to a motion picture segment. An American classic, Carly, an American classic! I feel I need to share my 2001 composite of the year's events set to "Everyday" to compare how life is in 2023, turning 2024. (Partially portraying the downfall of America's Mayor from 2001 to 2023). "Everyday" gives up hope for a better future when dealing with today's political climate. - mortem tyrannis!

The Simpsons parodied it when they wrote the "Homer's life passes before his eyes" scene.

This is where I got to know this song. I somehow managed to discover what it is and I started to learn it by ear. Then I found a music score and was able to do it properly. It was one of the 4 pieces I performed in my very first concert in 2011.
I am to play it as well as her one day. She is truly a gifted artist it's a special type of talent to come up with this type of composition! I don't care how "simple" it is this piece is a musical poem talking about the struggles of everyday life... It is a modern masterpiece. And she plays so perfectly.
