Unfortunately, the company literally ruined the game. Imagine that they released an anti-Whitebeard character in less than a month, and he is an anti-him in every sense of the word. Frankly, I hated the game because of these actions, not to mention that a company wants you to constantly pay to get characters, otherwise you will not get them, even if you have luck that breaks the rock

Try the stun reduction trait (ulti medal + set kaido), you just have to dodge Roger's skill 1, hit him 3 times while he is capturing and then you can clap him with your 2 skill.
I’ve already posted stun reduction build on him few months back

Can I only get this Whitebeard through his banner or is it possible to get him from anyone? I started the game a little over 15 days ago, but facing characters like this with characters that are still weak is very disappointing.
You can only get exes from there specific banner. Wb came out like 4 months ago & hasn’t had a rerun yet. Sorry this game isn’t so friendly to free to play players.
It actually is f2p friendly if you are pro enough and put some time into it. I mean look at me, have not spent a single cent and have 160% green support with Fr Shanks, G5 and Z. + OVER 140 per cent support of all the other colors with V2 Roger and Bluffy. And have only been playing for around 1 year. You just need prioritize who you wanna summon cause you cant pull for all the characters. This game is not so p2p, it just is not beginner friendly.

U don't know both skills work when someone is capturing the treasure? Why do you not use skill 1 when someone is capturing accross the map?
To set up the border, I like to save my skill1 for combat you never know when a Roger might come straight at you
