Thanks for the video. I installed a similar kit today in my A3 and used your video to help locate the correct wires to tap into to power the kit properly. Saved me time and a lot of guesswork! A few installation tips I discovered: Use the Audi version of the removal keys...I tried cheap knock-offs that did not engage with the head unit. Audi versions cost me 16USD from a local dealer. Another way to check if you have connected properly to switched 12VDC is to watch the Bluetooth connection in the settings function on your phone...status should change from connected to not-connected after car is shut off, key removed from ignition, and driver's door opened and closed. Cheers!
thank you very much for the detailed instructions. for anyone who thinks that the bluetooth won't turn off: if you connect the right pins check the blue light of the bluetooth. when you lock the car after 2 minutes it will shut down and stops blinking.

Where did connect the black wire, into a socket or anywhere on the side of the radio since it is the "ground" cable? Thank you very much!

Hi I’ve fitted the Bluetooth module exactly like you have and I’ve also charged to coding on the radio for aux input but it does not show me a aux option on the stereo, only cd and mp3. What else do I have to do?
Hi, try updating your software version to the highest available as they only added the Aux support in later models, otherwise once you change the coding that should be it!
Will this work on Audi S3 8P, I have Bose unit, the car doesn’t show an aux input, so I will need to code it… however it has Handsfree for the phone which works so there must be a mic somewhere, will this still work, or will I need to run a new mic along with the Adapter
Hi mate, so long as it’s an RNS-E navigation unit and not a standard stereo it’ll work. And you can most likely use the existing factory microphone, the only thing is it must be re-wired to an input jack to plug into the receiver
Is the mic part actually needed? I thought these cars have all the mics built in around the car and the controls on the steering wheel, or is this just a simple way of bypassing that or to save using the phone speaker?
The lower end models have plain steering wheels with no controls, also this setup will bypass the existing “wired” handsfree system and will effectively work as a system independent from the existing Audi one
