It would be nice if the machine automatically cleared the poor after the dog was finished and exited the platform. My dog tends to eat his own poo, so I'm guessing that tendency would continue if it just sat there for even a minute or two afterwards.

That’s not an all-dog problem, just your dog. Give him bananas. He won’t like the smell of his poop with bananas so he won’t eat it
