In this comment section you will see people put linebackers as defensive ends. example: where is LT
If you think about how the league has made it easier on offense and harder on the defense over the years, it makes what JJ did that much more impressive.
Not really. Teams pass way more now so way more chances of getting a sack
If people think J.J will end up being better than Reggie White, I'm pretty sure they're high
love this list
I shook hands with Carl Eller his hands came up to my upper forearm. He is a mountain of a man.
Reggie White!!! Legend.
Richard dent is top 10 hands down. But no one every brings him up. Dude was a monster
Strahan should be way higher, one of the greatest ever- packers fan btw
Build Legacy we can tell bc you said Rodgers is better than Tom Brady
Jahseh Onfroy On Tom Brady number 1 spot on the top 100 he said that so yea
Whenever someone has to emphasize that they are from a opposite side e.g. packers fan btw. It means they are lying and most of the time a Troll
Atlanta still blew a 28-3 lead.
Hawkeye gamerguy lol he still make more in a week than you will your life
how is strahan number 10 and you left off his 2007 ring
disrespectful
Pretty sure that Dwight Freeney was left off this list.
I'm glad he's got Chris Doleman on the list he's one of the forgotten greats that fans today should know about. He's number 4 all time in sacks and you never really hear his name or see his highlights ever.
My top 5 all time 5. Bruce Smith 4. Doleman, 3. Haley, 2. Deacon Jones, 1. Reggie white
other than LT, Reggie White was the only guy you heard of that MUST be blocked by 2 people, every snap
As a NYG fan, I'm glad Michael made this list.
I never wanted to be defensive end but I didn’t go to hell week and was forced to. it was damn fun. 5’10 160lbs, lineman of the year 🤙. (Battling Monsters)
Watt at 4 when Strahan is at 10? Disrespectful.
Strahan isn't as good as most people think. He had 6 years where he broke 10+ sacks in 15 years and is fifth all time. I agree with where he was placed. Nowhere near as dominant as Watt. Watt has played 6 seasons and 4 of them he broke 10+ sacks, hit 20 twice as said in the video. He's also avg'ing 9 passes deflected a season, unheard of for a DE. I mean he's literally the only DE to hit 20 sacks twice, why wouldn't he be higher? He's accomplished more than Mike at this stage of his career and it ain't even close. Watt has almost 30 more sacks than Strahan in 6 years.
Watt is definitely better, and should be higher.
WutTheDeuce and if you look back at the films Brett Favre let him break the record for most sacks
I remember watching that game. Favre just laying down, then all the Giants players patting him on the head. Could you make it any more obvious? Haha
what we have to remember though is the league passes the ball a lot more than it did in the past giving watt more chances not taking anything away from him he is all time great just being objective
WutTheDeuce wat so that makes him not 10 he is clearly better than 10 idk about watt status but he deserves top Mike and watt in my eyes or in the top 5
Here you go
This is a very respoectabler list. The only problem is that I switch Watt and Strahan and I'm a Texans fan BTW.
JJ Watt #4...cmon guys, you're better than this
Jack Berczi I mean jj is great don't get me wrong but here's not better than Bruce Smith or deacon Jones and he sure as hell isn't better than Reggie white
Gill Brandt must have been out of the country when Jack Youngblood was terrorizing quarterbacks and ball carriers
Jared Allen is very underrated
Watt is number 4 after just 5 seasons (missed pretty much all last season) that shows how special he's been in the league. He'll probably be number 1 by the time he retires.
Demarcus Ware. Charles Haley. WTF where are they!?
Hope Watt will stay healthy this year and bounce back from that back surgery
just to let everyone know why some of the stats where not shown is because sacks used to not be a stat that eas recorded so some of these players stats may not look good because their sacks were not recorded until the later half of their career (s)
Gotta love Jason Garrett getting sacked by Reggie at the end
Joe Klecko the only defensive lineman to make the Pro Bowl at e different positions DE, DT and Nose Tackle, remember in the early 80's teams passed a lot back then so it was constant pass rush.
why don't you do top 10 toughest players of all time (with the longest game streak)
Reggie white was a physical freak and completely unblock able.watt for being a 3-4 defensive end is simply the best
Leslie O’Neal might have been the best ever if not for that knee injury. Still, he belongs in the HOF
Rip Reggie u be missed
Watt will be #1 when it's all said and done
I'd put money on that for sure. No disrespect to Reggie, but if Watt stays healthy, he will destroy all the numbers in the book.
Playoffless Bills in total sacks no but if he wins 1 or 2 more dpoy awards I think that will elavate him to #1
Didn't he just have back surgery? Steroids and hgh can only do so much.
Gosh, life is good at times!!
That's a pretty good list, but what about Kevin Greene and Charles Haley?
There are 2 *BIG* problems with this list:
1, Strahan at 10
2, where the heck is Jason Taylor?!?!
@@infinitetundra but his official position was Strong Side Defensive End. Not Right or Left as the dolphins used the old strong/weak defensive philosophy
You make me cry that Jared Allen was not on the list
before I watch deacon jones and reggie white better be on this
I only watch these videos for a good laugh
Can people please read the article before asking "Where is Jason Taylor/Edd Too Tall Jones/Howie Long/Julius Peppers?"
Deacon Jones should've been number 1,over all great video
Pretty good list. Glad you got #1 right. Doleman should have been higher. Watt is too high. Strahan is fine right where he is.
Totally agree. Watt hast played long enough to be on this list of greats. Also he stays in the tub too much and not enough time on the field. Great player though
Top 10 Linebackers, next!
the minister of defense is number one. rest in peace you gentle giant. You are truly a g.o.a.t
That was cool
JJ deserves at least 2
Ok it's getting pretty aggravating seeing people complaining about some one who isn't on the list when the person they are talking about is a linebacker smh learn the positions
Look at 1:53...Doug Atkins shedding Hall of Famer Roosevelt Brown's pass block like swatting a fly! As great as Brown was-and Atkins did him like this?
Who was the lineman that through the Wide receiver into the quarterback in order to make the tackle??
Joey Bosa will eventually be on this list
Reggie White still the goat
Yep,you got the defensive ends correct
Howie long?
Reggie always held up. Not to crucifix.
first you put Calvin at 8 the other day for wrs and now strahan at 10 loss for words
RIP Reggie ❤
great
Is it just me, or do the Vikings always have a defensive line?
Surprised Howie Long doesn't get named more on these lists.
Chris Doleman Is A DE Version Of Lawrence Taylor
Reggie white is the greatest defensive end and along with LT, perhaps the greatest defender ever.
Jason Taylor and Howie Long should be on here
Michael Bennett?
Howie Long?
Jack Youngblood?
Cliff Avril?
Julius Peppers not being even in the top 10 is incredibly disrespectful to his name
Demarcus Ware??
Really surprised Julius Peppers isn't on here. At least Doug Atkins is! 🐻⬇
Just here for my games hopefully I win!!
When you don’t see Jack Youngblood 😢
Ed Too Tall Jones, where he at. Why they have MS at 10? This is as accurate as the top 100.
What about offensive linemen?
At least he got the top 3 right
Upgrade NFL cameras to 4K plz
Watt will take the reigns when he's retired. Watt should go play for a team that has a quarterback.
I would like to think that as great as all of these men are Aaron Donald has came to take the crown and I think he’s going to keep it for a while
So many holding calls missed.
Deacon Jones.. legend!
Maybe it's just me but JJ is the best DE of this generation.
Too bad they played fewer games back then and didn't recognize sacks until Deacon changed the game. Should be number 1.
Yeah that's right respect the king.
haven't watched the vid yet but jj better be at least top 3
No Howie long?
Howie Long?
Reggie White deserves to be #1 DE. He is also the best defensive player ever if it is not Lawrence Taylor. One of the greatest players in NFL and Tennessee Volunteers history.
Jared Allen does not deserve this disrespect.
JJ Watt is a great DE, but he'll never pass The Minister and Bruce. Plus, Reggie White revolutionized the DE position so he is the GOAT at DE.
When Strahan is at 10, you know the list is gonna be nothin but old heads lmaooo.
Idk i would have put Howie long on there before some of those guys
What about ed to tall Jones
Where is Jason Taylor?!?!?!?!?!!?
People Vote for their era & the person they've seen play the most.
I'm a Giants Fan Strahan is ranked accurately.
Neil Smith
Leslie O'Neal
Pat Swilling
LC Greenwood should be on this list
Can Jason Taylor get an honorable mention at least.
For all of you who say Bruce Smith is better than Reggie White because he has more sacks, let this fact sink in. Bruce Smith played SEVEN more seasons than Reggie White did and he only had two more sacks. Reggie always will be not only the best defensive end of all time, but the best defensive PLAYER of all time.
Reggie played in a 4-3 while Bruce played in a 3-4, so getting sacks was much easier and Bruce didn't play 7 more seasons he played 4 more and only 47 more games. Not to mention, the Eagles had a much better roster on defense than the Bills. Jerome Brown, Eric Allen, Clyde Simmons were all studs, the best teammate on defense that Bruce ever had was Cornelius Bennett. Also, the Bills' offense was on the field a lot more than their defense if you compared the amount of snaps that each of them played it would be around the same amount. Both were great
Nah thats LT. But he is the best DE of all time
Ray Lewis may have something to say about that. Hahahaha
@@krazy1vangaming21 He’s gotta get through, LT, DT, DB, BB before...🤣🤣
@@krazy1vangaming21 hot take
