I am a hunter call main and there's nothing that you cant learn from chasing after enough storm fish. Just because I bought a pirate game doesn't mean I didn't just want to be a fisherman.

The correct faction to dedicate yourself to is the one you think has the coolest cosmetics
Merchant Alliance has the best cosmetics by my opinion.

@@warcriminalinseveralplaces7033 Oh, I only exploded him a few times with creepers and TNT. More recently he tried framing me for murdering his cow (for conext see "i LOST my cow and my friend wont admit it [Minecraft Skyblock]"). Phuzzy and I have a long lasting history of an interesting friendship.
I find the merchant faction especially useful for learning proper docking and sailing in general as well as the best routes to NPCs on the islands. Efficiency in turning in rewards, however lackluster the voyage, has helped me when I had far more valuable treasure while being pursued.
Yes, good parking is vital to avoid wter when selling cloth ! Or simply to reduce walking time to the NPCs.
it also teaches to use the rowboat effectively for delivery speed, useful skill when you need to sell stuff as quickly as possible because you're followed by a hostile ship.
Yes agree, I had the toughest time doing merchant alliance missions and every guy in open crew or closed crew would leave the game seeing my merchant emissary on but after reaching lvl60 in merchant, I can safely park on any outpost without crashing.

As "boring" as merchant missions may be sometimes, it really is worth it in the long run. For anyone not PL yet, don't rush it! It will make the moment you finally get there much more special

I’m 31 in order of souls, 37 in gold hoarder, and 30 in reaper. Those are my main 3. I play for pvp not sales but I just did a ashen voyage and got 120k of loot
that beginning was super wholesome to me. I found phuzzy's channel through absolute pixel and then phuzzy recommended a video by absolute pixel!
I really never thought about that way of seing the orginal 3 factions like practice but you are right! :)

so god damn true! by grinding my way to pl i learned all the islands and now i can navigate the world without a map, this helps a lot when tucking on enemy ships.

46 in gold hoarder, 30 in order of souls(But it was more gained with friends), 28~ in merchant alliance. I would say that I usually solo-sail a lot for golden hoarder (and Order recently) and this voyages gave me good attention to surroundings and threats around

Hey Phuzzy, i would love to see a tierlist for cursed cannonballs and how to use them efficient.
At the end you could have taken the entire rowboat with stuff. Once the sloop passed the boat just jump into the water behind the sloop, the docking prompt area becomes huge from outside. Afterwards you could've taken the mermaid while sloop + boat drove off.

I reached PL and thanks to merchant alliance, I can quickly find out map locations, park like a pro and find piers in several islands.
I personally think that you get all of the benefits from being a reaper from all of the ‘active factions’, you learn (the easy or hard way) what weapons suit you, you learn the quickest routes, and you learn how to hide loot (say fotd/Athena steal), but I guess that wouldn’t be the best course of action for a new player, and I’m pretty sure this is aimed at new players so
I'd say you can learn pvp even more quickly from encounters than order of souls voyages, and that just playing the game over time will learn you the map, as aposed to merchants

You have to do even more merchant, gold hoarders, and orders of the skull to get pl cosmetics.
Actually im grinding Gold Hoarders and Reapers Bones. Gold Hoarders because its the most fun thing to do an di rlly love treasure, Reapers Bones for the Dobloons and of course the extremely nice Shipskins.
For now in mid 2022 I say you should chose the reapers,merchants and the gold hordders because 1. Reapers take anything and more, 2. Comodady runs for the merchants, and 3. Gold horder valts
The only reason I want to max out hunters call is to get the full ship set and the "captain of the killer whale" title and sail around with a title that actually shows I am the captain of my ship
right now i'm grinding reaper's bones and gold hoarders and i'll probably do order of souls next
I’m currently lvl 75 Gold Hoarder and lvl 70 in Order and the Merchants, after I get to 75 in those I just want to finish my hunters call (lvl 38) before I get into the thick of pvp with reapers and the sea dogs
My 3 are GH, OOS, & Reapers. The reason I'm choosing reapers over Merchants is because merchants is honestly boring, and going as a reaper's emissary has so far really helped with my combat, which I was lacking. I can swing a cutlass and hipfire with the best of them, but my ship-to-ship combat is honestly mediocre. I also don't feel the negative of missing navigation practice, as I got that through emissary GH and their vault missions. Popular stuff like forts and fleets require a lot of ship to ship combat, and nothing helps refine your cannon aim like some good ol reaping. I do aim to also hit lvl 50 in merchants, but I don't want it with my first 3

I did the main three because I played before the new emmisaries but I'm still new so wasn't pirate legend I continued them because they had the most progress
2:23 wouldn’t exactly call it high, but as a low level you get awful voyages that get you next to no gold (am a pirate legend now, remember my first ever voyage as a good hoarder), still a useful skill tho for Athena runs (if u do them, I personally try steal all my loot)
I was wondering why you decided to throw out the Sea Dogs faction? Do you dislike the Arena Mode? In my opinion it’s the best place to train in ship-to-ship battles and also PvP. That’s just me, but I’d like to hear what you think.
I really try to not rush to Pirate Legend, as so many people already mentioned it on top of so much just being vibe to experience even in the early game.
The only thing that is making me sometimes go into a more sweaty/rush mode for a bit is the fact that if I do not reach it before the end of this Plunder Pass I won't be able to claim all the cosmetics, which is kind of a cringe design of the pass lmao

It feels weird for the reapers bones to be called a passive faction. But I know what you mean
I think he was incorrect about the gap thing there is still those things in pirates that got pl thru the original 3 factions. Honestly I'd say theres only a real skill gap in hunters call but Reapers and sea dogs would most likely help people improve over the original 3 factions because it teaches people to be innovative in their ability to successfully deliver cargo while under extreme pressure from opposing forces. I'd say that a pirate would tend to be way better if they got Reapers, Sea Dogs, and One of the original to lvl 50 opposed to all 3 of the original.
I'd go with OoS, Gold Hoarder, and Reaper's Bones if I wasn't already PL.
I love how I watch all these guides but don’t even own the game
In my opinion the best methods of becoming a pirate legend is the factions you enjoy the most. Mine happens to be the prime three, The Gold hoarders, The order of souls, and Reapers bones. All are fun. but to me these three were the most effective because once you complete the first two, you can sell EVERYTHING to reapers. Gems, chests, skulls, flags.
Question not related to the topic in this video... Is it easier to operate a brigantine with 2, or to operate a galleon with 3? Thoughts?

Reached PL 3 days ago.... there realy isnt much to do, just like pixel noted there should be some privelages (but not advantages) for those who spent their time getting to this "special" level
I just started playing, so not too good at pvp, especially as a solo sloop player.
Another reason not to do sea dog is you will miss out on the best weapons in the game( hands down) the pl weapons. To get this you need 240 wins as a pirate legend ( any wins before pirate legend dont count even once you are pl the old wins don’t count)

It always confuses me when people say pirate legend is easy, sure there is not skill barrier... but it sure does take absolutely forever if you arent spamming meta voyages or whatever people are doing to speedrun pirate legend
since you can sell anything to reapers, if you didn't want to do a specific faction like Merchant for example, couldn't you just do anything in game like selling them Gold Hoarders and Order of Souls loot to get around having to do Merchant at all? Fetch quests arent exactly the most fun thing to do, and they aren't all that rewarding for your time either
You have to do the original three factions to get PL.
You can do any 3 to get to pirate Legend, but selling to reaper only gives you reaper reputation

Kids these days will never know the struggle of being an og pl. Every time you say merchants i get anxiety thinking about all those pigs and snakes and chickens.
The Merchant alliance is my favorite because of the beautiful clean and bright colored ships
Gold hoarders second because the Spanish are cooler than the British and I get to dress like a Conquistador but the ship colors are a little bland and I was disappointed they gave us a sail with a brown saint symbol instead of the Giant Red Cross on a white sail

Been playing the game a few weeks now , im starting to think nothing really matters. You can grind all you want the only thing you can upgrade are cosmetics... thats kinda dumb
You need to make a guide on fighting a server alliance with a sloop. Almost impossible if they are good
There's always a weakest that's being carried, target that ship and the whole thing falls apart 😊

I had like no choice. Dissability sucks and this game helps me relax. Sadly in my regions there are many salty cheaters who get away with it ;-; (yes who is on the server depends on your ping and region so ut will connect you not completely randomly so if youre american its harder to find a Pol or German. Found it out by testing)

Always take a pvp fight, is another tip. You won't be able to defend yourself unless you actually learn.
The only reason I wanted pirate legend quickly because me and my friends are trying to get all the commendations in the game but you have to be a pirate legend to start a majority of them so getting it early makes it a lot easier to get them.
