These beautiful felt pinecones are a quick, inexpensive and beautiful project!
They’re perfect for so many decorative touches throughout the fall and winter holidays!
    Supply List:
9x12 Felt Sheet (I used the colors Sandstone and White for this tutorial)
2.5” Foam Egg (See link below)
    10” Ribbon/Twine/Yarn (your choice!)
    2 Straight Pins
    Glue Gun
    Scissors
    SVG & PRINTABLE TEMPLATE:
    www.etsy.com/L...
    FOAM EGGS: amzn.to/3ij6IgK
To cut by hand without a template:
Cut five 1” strips across the long part of the felt.
For each strip, cut a 1/2 slice every 3/4” of an inch across the entire strip so it's like a fringe.
Then round the corners of each slice so that you have a scalloped edge all the way across.

Thanks! this was very helpful! I made some last year but forgot how to finish off the tops. The video I had watched used a square of fabric for the top and shaped it into four petals but I can't find it to figure out how they shaped it. My attempts this year don't look nearly as good. This looks beautiful. I will switch to this. Appreciate you sharing this!

You do a great job of explaining.
When you are gluing, how are you not burning your fingers? Do you have a glue gun that has a low setting on it? Also, where did you buy your supplies? I just finished watching the garland video and I liked the fact that you told us where to find the supplies. I also noticed in the other video that you live on a golf course. I too live in a golf course community in Hudson, FL. Where are you located?
Thank you for the very educational videos?

      Thank you!
I do have a low setting on my glue gun, but I use it normally on high. If you just let that glue rest about 30 seconds before you touch it, it shouldn’t hurt.
The only time I burned my fingers bad was when I was first making the pinecones.
I forgot that I put glue around the other side, (which I mention in the video)
You’ve really got to be careful that you have your eye on that hot glue and that you don’t glue around the back of the foam egg and wind up laying your fingers right on it. Ouch!
The foam eggs that I used for the pine cones are from Amazon.
There is a link in the description of the video for those foam eggs if you want to just order them from Amazon.
I get all of my felt from Hobby Lobby, Michael’s and Joann fabrics.
Hobby lobby mostly, because they have the best selection and the best price and whenever I see that they are on sale, for half off, I go and buy a bunch so I have it when I need it.
Yes we are on the treasure coast of Florida and we are on a golf course!
I don’t golf though, but my other half does.
      Are you a golfer?

What is your glue gun brand? I like that it has a fine tip. Is it one you would recommend?

Hi! This is the glue gun I use.
      www.michaels.com/aleenes-ultimate-glue-gun-kit/10259542.html
I purchased it because if needed, you can pull the plug out and use it cordless for up to five minutes.
I like that feature because sometimes I just want to go to the other side of the room with the glue gun or some thing and it’s just convenient.
It also has three different attachments for the front tip. I’ve only used the really slim one because I like that I can be more exact when it comes to where I want to place the glue. Overall I would probably give it an eight out of 10.
