So cool that you got to hunt with Jason and Other Sean 👍🏻
Yeah always fun when I can dig comics with them
I love this place I always get my books of whatnot from them.
Yeah they go through so many books for a good price on whatnot.
Thanks, Sean! Happy Father’s Day!
Thanks so much
Sean, Yes, I'm back!! CONCRETE: THE HUMAN DILEMMA DEC 04- JAN 05 6 issues. Happy Father's Day, Sean. Have a Blast!!
I think I read that series 20 years ago lol totally forgot it. Thank you appreciate the info.
Fun watching you dig! Congrats on the Sergio Aragones variant. I liked the music. 😃 👍🏻
Oh yeah that Shaolin cowboy book is dope! Happy you enjoyed the video
New York must be an amazing place to hunt for stuff! I've never been, but I like to collect New York novels between the two World Wars, especially with the city skyline on the dust jacket. New York City images on comic book covers would be a cool collecting area too. Thanks for the video.
OH wow that sounds like an amazing collection. Have you ever made a video on it or shared on ig?
@@pop-comics No video or online sharing, but I am planning to write a book on the subject (I'm a novelist and poet myself). It will involve a first-ever trip to NY. So I'm very excited about it.
2 hours of comics to look forward to!
Enjoy!
Sup Sean, adding to your massive collection
Yup!
Love the video but the background music is distracting imo. What makes ur videos cool to me is listening to the interactions between you guys, It's like being in a real comic shop.
Yeah it was a pain too because it took 2 days to edit in the music too. I uploaded the original edit but youtube hit me with 32 copyright strikes based on the background music. The system sucks for that, but I did not want to abandon this dig, still kind of fun to watch.
Ask the staff to turn the music off
Next time I will do that.
@@pop-comics Ah, that explains it. I also echo the dislike of the background music, but I understand why you added it now. Thanks for the dig!
Maybe I'm just gone nuts, but starting to like the music...!!
Haha bonus if you dig the toons while the comics get dug lol
Great haul love the shop and the staff are really good people!!! Visit if your in the area!
Yeah its a fun shop to dig comics in for sure.
Trying to watch this and Vincent Price Pit & the Pendulum on SVEN..... I think my brain's broken!!!
Haha overload
Master digger 🎉 you need your own Minecraft character 😀 loved the video
HaHA I do dig comics like a Minecraft player digging for diamonds lol
That was such a cool shop I'm jealous😂
Yeah its a really cool place to dig for $1 comics, just so much to dig through.
Man, I really am gonna miss going on these digs with y'all.
Yeah, me as well.
Music is starting to stick in my head now...!!
Nice haha
That JLA cover was sort of a kick at Marvel's Disassembled storyline...!!
Which issue?
Awesome!!!!!!!!
Thank you! Cheers!
You got yourself an awesome collection there! So cool that you have a lot of local shops in your area that have the $1 bins. Where in my area, its so hard to find locally and they are all far away mostly lol. Good thing when I went to comic con recently, I grabbed loads of the $1 bins books there😎
The last few years the Dollar bins have exploded in NYC, seems like there are more and they are bigger which is awesome.
New pizza place just dough, mozz and tomatoe's... Awesome!!
Sounds tasty
Used to live near GT, miss it. Great thrift shop!
They are a fun shop.
Today 1: 12 to the end!! Gotta get it done before the Tonys tonight!!
Enjoy
Heck yeah
Oh yeah!
Our youtube friend, SEAN!!!! Excellent!
@@supertwillson Thanks :)
Great video Sean 🎉miss the walk's though 😢
I miss the walks too, have not been motivated to do them but I hope to do them again soon.
Bravo my friend
Thanks :)
You bypassed Airboy #8 which has a classic Dave Stevens back cover ad.
Where in the video was that issue? I was looking for #8 guess I missed it.
My god if I was in that shop you wouldn't get me back out😮😂
Oh yeah you can spend all day there digging, I have done it twice and I am already ready to go back. I know I missed something lol
@@pop-comics I would go mate defenantly go I would . Do you believe a man can fly ha ha 😂😜
Oh that Music... No Bueno…!!! 😖😖😖
As I said with everyone else I uploaded the video without music added and get 32 copyright strikes, ugh had to spend 20 hours or so adding music to cover it up. Kinda sucks but wanted to keep the dig, it was still fun.
Please check to see if you have, The American, by Mark Verheiden. It’s a short-lived black and white indie but what a story! Mark Verheiden went on to write some major Hollywood movies.
I recognize the covers I am sure I have a few of them.
The music assassgh!
As I said with everyone else I uploaded the video without music added and get 32 copyright strikes, ugh had to spend 20 hours or so adding music to cover it up. Kinda sucks but wanted to keep the dig, it was still fun.
I didnt know that you were into Jazz Music as its actually similar to some of the Music that Robert Crumb himself often listened to Within his own boigraphical Films as I seem to still remember and often do myself occassionally.
I do like late 60s early 70s Acid jazz.
You need another BOX!!!
Haha after my phone died, I did pick the other side and filled a second short box lol
That whole second box pretty much
Yeah lots of fun stuff in there.
Did you find the MS. TREE where she's bound-up with Christmas lights?
Was not looking for it specifically but I might have it already.
Hey Pop I'm begging you what is the song that begins at 8:12?! I'll be forever grateful if you can tell me. Love the vid!
It was a trip hop / chill wave song I had AI generate. If you want the song by itself I will see if I can upload a music video or something.
@@pop-comics you're the man for doing that - I'm rather obsessed with that track 🤣🙏
Here is the music video, enjoy th-cam.com/video/EDunP6XUPdU/w-d-xo.html
Sean @ approx 1:26 did you just pass up a Rocketeer? (Most boring box section)
Might have been one that was a newer release without Dave Stevens art that I had picked up one already last time. I think they had a few of them.
What is the name of the song which starts at about 15:30 and lasts to 18:30?
Have not named it yet, I had ai create it with udio. I could make a music video for it if you want a way to listen without talking lol
@@pop-comics this tune is just insane. This is great! A music video would be highly appreciated. I would love to listen to this song over and over again.
What were you looking for on the back covers?
Oh was looking for Dave Stevens Ads or other cool ads. I need to make a list of all the Eclipse issues with Dave Stevens ads.
@@pop-comics SWEET! Airboy #8 has an Stevens add on the back!
The music is absolutely too loud and unlistenable. Had to turn down the sound.
As I said with everyone else I uploaded the video without music added and get 32 copyright strikes, ugh had to spend 20 hours or so adding music to cover it up. Kinda sucks but wanted to keep the dig, it was still fun.
Did you see THE NEW ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN? WTH is up with Lois, the sexiest female character at DC has no shape in this manga-style cartoon... I Is Superman going to get arrested for something untoward?
The one based on the animated cartoon from the 90s?
