This problem is made even worse if you keep changing your volume: it's like 'oh, that's loud, I'll shut the door *wastes power*' or 'I don't think that's loud enough, I'll let it build up more *jumpscare*'
Yeah, this has happened to me a fair amount. The key is to set your volume from the start and try to keep it around the same level whenever you play SL.
@swagger souls I think with characters like Ballora, you have to rely on sound in order to find out which door to close. Though the audio is pretty much the same, using headphones could help. I personally hate using headphones on horror games because I'm paranoid, but with using those you can easily tell if she is coming from the left or the right. If you have UCN (Ultimate Custom Night), it's kind of the same with Ballora on there. It could be kind of scary, considering you need to have the volume on your device a bit loud..but with that, you'll be able to sense where Ballora is. With enough practice, I'm sure you can beat it! If this wasn't very helpful, I will try to find another solution to the problem. Until then, you could try it out and see if it works! :)

I never realized that almost every game has custom nights from number 2 onward. I thought UCN was the only custom night game. It's nice to know others have preset custom nights.

This strategy works best on PC and console since you don’t have to locate the button to close the door and can just press it on your keyboard.

i haven't bought sister location, but i want to get all fnaf games on ps4, but from what i've heard is that sister location SUCKS, like apparently the sound cues are practically silent, and the ennard fight is nearly impossible on ps4. so maybe in this patch for ps4 you mentioned, maybe that will be fixed if it doesn't im going to go insane. also im a completionist and fnaf 2 has a bug, and the play all mini games trophy just doesn't work, so with both of those things in mind as you can imagine my completionist sanity will be DESTROYED. Are you using headphones? You can hear a little footsteps of her entering the office at some times if I'm not mistaken. If you're still scared just shut both doors for safety. If you're playing on mobile it's very hard to tell where she is.

If you hear her on the left, she's on the left, and vice versa. If you can't hear her music or her music is rather faint, don't worry. If her music is more audible, then you should pay attention. As soon as her music is any louder, immediately shut the door and wait until her music is at least distant. That's basically it. Just have some really sharp ears.

Litterly in the androide version 1.0 before remastered 2.0. There are danger indicators next to the door where Ballora is at. This makes stuff so easy.

Wear headphones and make sure they're on correctly. You should be able to hear the music on the corresponding side. If you absolutely have to, you can close both doors. I don't recommend this though, it drains a lot more power.

Eventually, yes. If you're getting into 4 AM, I'm not sure how much I can do though. It's largely RNG-based from that point.
