I'm glad you said that. You're absolutely correct. Additionally, Simpson's behavior after the trial was often times beyond the pale. The level of malignant narcissism, hubris, and delusion required for him to make his "If I Did It" interview and book, is simply unbelievable. I took that as him publicly mocking the entire situation, without any sense of simple human decency. The man had to be a psychopath and/or sociopath. He always seemed to be feigning human emotions. I don't believe he was capable of actually feeling emotions. He cruelly physically and emotionally abused his wife Nicole. Then he killed her (or had her killed while he watched); as well as taking the life of Ron Goldman. I watched every day of the trial, which, to say the least, was a surreal experience. I always thought that during the "If the glove doesn't fit, you must acquit" portion of the trial to be absurd. He attempted to try on the infamous pair of leather gloves while wearing a pair of protective gloves. Of course he'd struggle to get them on. He made sure to perform while doing it. RIP Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman. Condolences to the Goldman family, and to OJ's four children.

O.J. Simpson was deemed innocent in the eyes of our justice system. The sentence imposed in Vegas, as unpopular as this may sound, was arguably more impactful than the murders of Nicole and Ron. This issue affects us as U.S. citizens, who are entitled to due process, and one case should not influence another. Johnny Cochran was a true civil rights attorney who dedicated his life to defending his community, from the Watts riots to the Simpson case. Cochran's efforts led to significant police reform in Los Angeles, yet similar issues persist elsewhere, as seen in cases like George Floyd's and Philando Castile's. I found myself cheering for Johnny more than mourning the two victims. The LAPD's incompetence was exposed on a grand scale, potentially saving more lives than were lost. Regardless of personal opinions, it must be acknowledged that Simpson was deemed innocent by due process, I love Johnny Cochran and he is a hero to many people and used what God gave him to help the people who needed it most.
